I’m not sure where I saw it and maybe it was just speculation with the Clough connection.
Edit
I’ve just looked on the Blades website and it shows them playing an unnamed opposition away behind closed doors so it could be correct. The fixture is in between games against other league clubs.

Yes a bit of a two fingered salute to fans, we have one home pre-season game we can attend. Poor.

It's only been about 3 minutes since the season finished, I'm sure you'll be able to placate yourself with the 20+ games you'll be able to watch soon
Mansfield Town will play Championship side Sheffield United in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday 19 July.
The encounter will kick-off at 7pm.
The game will be available to watch in full the next day (Wednesday 20 July) on iFollow Stags.

Mansfield Town fans will not be able to see their side face Championship side Sheffield United in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday, 19th July.
No official reason has been given why fans will be locked out but Chad understands it is on police advice.
The encounter will kick-off at 7pm, though the club have not announced where it will be played.
However, the game will be available to watch in full the next day (Wednesday, 20th July) on iFollow Stags.

It wasn't us that caused all the troube in May... that all happened at t'City ground. Of course Florist will not have to move any of their games on police advice will they, they'll just tell em to cluck off.
How can t'plod justify denying the club revenue pre season?
