Superstitions

Does anyone else have pre-match superstitions?
Peas and mint sauce for me - The 6 times I have had this deliciously before the match we have won, the 2 times I did not we lost. Made sure I had a portion before the 2nd leg the other night so you can all thank me for the day out at Wembley

Folk messing with the Scorethread is a no no.

I wore my lucky socks all through the winning run and then didn't and we lost. Brought them back for the FGR game and playoffs. They've seen a draw, but never seen de feet.

I also wore my 2004 Stags shirt for the Northampton games - the shirt we beat them with in that year.

I don't have a 1987 shirt or I'd wear that for Wembley.

I've worn my 1982 replica England shirt under different Stags shirts for every home game since Tranmere except for one, Sutton United. I'll be wearing it for the final without a doubt!

I've worn a black Stiff Little Fingers beanie hat to every home game since Tranmere bar one, that was Sutton when it was a warm day & switched to a baseball cap (won't make that mistake again).
The SLF hat was also on me bonce at the last 2 away games I went to at Bradford & Scunny.
Despite the warm weather forecast it will be going to Wembley.

i’m wearing an hawaiian shirt (as have done so against oldham, salford northampton twice) blue shorts and a fair of all star trainers which have a massive hole in them which need throwing away.

But that’s exactly what i will wear as we’ve not lost any of those games.

Just be careful in the gents with the hole in the trainers

I put my thermal long johns on for the Tranmere game in October and worn them ever since except the Sutton game at home. They have been washed in between games though.

I don't think talking about them weakens them. You're thinking about wishes.

Has to be said pete .
T'fred'll be up on Wednesday.
The Third Step to Heaven isn't far away.

I have worn the Conference winning shirt both legs and it remains unwashed and beer stained and sweaty since I put it on a week or so ago. Stays that way till I get back next Saturday :D

Whatever everyone does as superstitions, please do the opposite. We haven't been in League One in 20 years so whatever everyone is doing up to now hasn't had any effect whatsoever

wore the same boxers shirt shoes and shorts in the 2nd leg as i did in the 1st.

So i’ll be doing so for the final (washed of course)

the trainers need going in the bin as they’ve got a hole in the heel of the shoe so will need to be careful in the gents :P

Going to the same pub Ive been in before any visit to Wembley the last few years... Been to three FA cup finals and saw Brentford & Fulham in the playoffs and been in the winning end each time. Nice that a few of those friends who support the big clubs are coming to see Stags with me this time
