The yoke is on Chesterfield for not having a keeper on the bench. Talk about egg on the face!

Say Torquay go up... Neither Chesterfield or Notts will do better than Stockport, Hartlepool, Wrexham, Bromley and then possibly Southend and Grimsby..... plus those teams at the bottom won't be playing kids this time. They've both missed their best chance this season.

I wouldn't be so cocky If I were them, going to take them some time to compete.

I take it parachute payments for both clubs have stopped now?

I don't think you can take it as read that the same teams will be as strong again. Yeovil and Boreham Wood finished top 7 last year and were only mid table this time round. Barnet also top 7 and were awful this season. Who knows how Stockport and Grimsby will react, but not many teams make it back first time.

That’s very true but the teams that refused to risk their future by not paying for players they couldn’t afford are more likely to be starting off on a sound financial footing. So maybe Barnet, Yeovil, Boreham Wood etc are in a better position to be competitive next term.

Maybe, but I wouldn't bank on it. The point you make is valid in relation to the cheats but I don't recall Notts signing too many. They're fairly well backed as well, they'll be thereabouts next year.

HT Stockport 0-0 Hartlepool

A first half low on entertainment, hardly any chances, and not much quality.

The hottest day of the year and a 12 o'clock kick off, they should really think of these things before scheduling.
Hoping Hartlepool win.

Stockport 0-1 Hartlepool

Hartlepool ahead after 76 minutes with a wonderful goal from Rhys Oates

Oates has been outstanding for the Monkey Hangers in both play-off games.

FT Stockport 0-1 Hartlepool

Stockport should have equalised when a great cross from James Jennings was headed goalwards by Bennett but well saved.

Hartlepool will play Torquay in the final.

I didn't foresee that happening. Bad news for both of our non - league neighbours.

Stockport will be a force next season as will Wrexham.

Well done to Hartlepool.

I think Stockport will be there or there about’s next season too. They seem to have rebuilt their club in a very sensible way, taking their time and doing only what they can afford.

Pleased with that because I think that Stockport will be strong next year and that’s another stick in the spokes of Direshites and Bedwetters.

It's a little early for Hartlepool to be promoted as they have not done the full five seasons in the National League yet. I'll be cheering on Torquay in the final. I've never been to Plainmoor as well.

Been 12 times with Stags and would prefer another re-visit here rather than Hartlepool.
