Just watched Maidenhead 0-3 Sutton
Sutton go 4 points clear of Torquay. They have 2 games left. Torquay have 3 games left, including against Stockport tomorrow. It's really between Sutton and Torquay now.

Sutton were deserved winners. The 3rd goal from John was from 15 yards inside his own half.

Torquay lose tomorrow & it's all over bar the shouting. Sutton still have to play Barnet.

FT County draw 2-2 with Bromley.

Top four (Sutton, Torquay, Hartlepool & Stockport)way clear of rest.

Three remaining places with six teams (Wrexham, Notts Co, Chesterfield, Bromley, Eastleigh and Halifax) fighting for the three places.

Wrexham v County will be a good game on Tuesday night. Hopefully Eastleigh will beat Aldershot away to make it interesting.

I've got Daggers and Solihull who could make it into the knockouts too.

Stockport 1-1 Torquay. Torquay level from a penalty after 40 mins. This is a cracking game.

Stockport 1-2 Torquay. Torquay in front through Scott Boden after 57 minutes. Stockport had been on top

FT Stockport 2-2 Torquay. What a magnificent game that was. So Sutton really in pole position now, they lead Torquay by 3 points and with better GD by 6, with 2 games left. So one win for Sutton or one defeat for Torquay will do it for Sutton.

Really enjoyed that game, Lemonheigh-Evans is some player too. Would grace League 2 on those performances.

They both have Barnet to play, so it might be who can score the most goals against them, Sutton have Hartlepool and Torquay have Altrincham in the other games left.
I'm going for Torquay.

Do Sutton still play on Artificial turf ??
If so, will they have to rip it out for natural grass to pay in the league ??

FT: Stockport County 2 Torquay United 2

A great end to end game. Both sides looked like they could hold their own in League 2. Former Stag, James Jennings was playing at left back for Stockport. Torquay really needed to win. If Sutton United beat Hartlepool at home next Sunday then they will be Champions and promoted due to their much better goal difference (+6 better than Torquay). Torquay and Stockport will be tough teams to beat in the play offs.

I'm still not convinced with this goal difference theory, it would be no surprise to see a 6-0 result in any game.
Even county put 4 past Barnet.

It wouldn't surprise me either a +6 goal diffenece is negated in a 3-0 loss for Sutton and a 3-0 win for Torquay and that goal difference difference is 0. (or any other combination of results)

Didn't Forest blow the Championship play offs last season when they had a big goal difference?

that's possible but extremely unlikely. What is much more likely is something like a couple of draws for Sutton (or a defeat and a draw), and a couple of wins for Torquay for Torquay to clinch it.

Sutton's last game is away at Barnet. If they get a point at Hartlepool, they are as good as up.
