Paul Anderson did not come across to me as a wrong 'un and his crime was said to be suggesting to Flitcroft that he stick with Evans/Raynor's tactics in the last 12 games of the season in 2017-2018. He was right! Flitcroft made a terrible mess of those last 12 games and not only blew automatic promotion but the play offs as well.
If Flitcroft had kept Anderson in the squad in 2018-2019 then he might have done a better job than Jorge Grant or not had to play Alex MacDonald as a right wing back at Franchise FC. Who knows? Your squad players do become very important towards the end of the season and do give the manager a few more options. It's a good man management skill to try and keep players on board even though they may not be in the first team just in case you need them.
Lots of other football managers are guilty of bombing players out including Paul Cox and Keith Curle.

Nicky Adams is one of the best crossers in the lower leagues, if not the best. Was interesting to see the stat that he has more assists this season than any other player other than Kevin de Bruyne.

Most assists: TOP FOUR TIERS 2019/20 (13th June)
17 - Kevin De Bruyne
15 - Randell Williams
14 - Charlie Kirk
14 - Liam Feeney
12 - Nicky Adams
12 - Scott Fraser
12 - Trent Alexander-Arnold
12 - Matheus Pereira
12 - Niclas Eliasson
11 - George Cooper
Most chances created: TOP FOUR TIER 2019/20
54 - Kevin De Bruyne
48 - Randell Williams
48 - Matheus Pereira
47 - Jordan Clark
47 - Trent Alexander-Arnold
45 - Jack Harrison
44 - Nicky Adams
43 - Mohamed Salah
41 - Barry Bannan
41 - Jarrod Bowen
Randell Williams will probably have League 1 clubs after him although he did not play well yesterday and annoyed me by hanging on to the ball and not crossing it.

"The closest he (curle) had come (to promotion as a manager) was three years ago when Exeter knocked out Carlisle with a late winner in their League Two play-off semi-final second leg."
Hmmm... That penalty shootout in the final in 04 didn't happen then?

They've done well, from nearly getting relegated to league one play offs and to keep the same manager in place too. they don't have a massive budget either

Why one season. I can't imagine they will go up again so fast.Spiritater wrote:hope wycombe fans enjoy their one season in t'championship

Might take them a few years like Bournemouth but if you are that confident of them going up again I would put a bet on.
You will get good odds.
