Now that was a local derby!
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Steve Wilkinson with the only goal in a 1-0 win at Northampton in October 1994. By the way, this was the last ever game at the County Ground.

I remember it well. Crowd was only 3519 with at least a thousand from Chesterfield. North stand looks sparse.

I am sure the game was played on a late Sunday morning to avoid crowd trouble just before Christmas, reason for low attendance.

How many did the north stand hold mid 90s ?

I tend not to believe any attendance figure which was announced under KH.

Steve Wilkinson is involved in so many of these. My memory is that he was a bit streaky. Did I under rate him?

He's our top scorer in the last 55 years, and fourth in our history

Is the Stockport one the match where he turned up just in time for kick off and after a rollicking from Parkin proceeded to bang 3 in within 20 minutes or so?

that was the Colchester game. Late arriving and went on to score four!

The Stockport game is when he scored a hat-trick in 4 minutes, the quickest in our history.

Both make it into here ---> https://stagsnet.net/vintage/records/records01.html
