The January recruitment was what killed us IMO. Smith benched, Jones not good enough, Turner looks good now but hardly been used, Grant good start, tailed off. Ajose injured.

We’re left next season with Davies and Rose as our strikers.

See you David.
Your team didn' t believe in you, if that first half was any measure, and I no longer do.
To keep you on for next season would be rewarding spectacular failure over two seasons. You've had your chance and time to move on and start with a clean slate.
Make your move Mr. Radford, before you regret it again next May.

Flitcroft responsible for the bottling of promotion TWO YEARS RUNNING and some think he should keep his job. Remarkable.

The belief that Newport had, that they would win is what was sadly lacking in our team. In fact it’s been missing for weeks. We’ve been relying on Walker too much and now he will need replacing. Big summer coming up!!!

We have been poor since January. Papered over the cracks.

We will have a very different team next year whoever is in charge.

The loanees will be gone and CJ will be off to a higher division. Ben Turner has finally showed us what a good player he actually is but unfortunately he is now out of contract. I think a big signing on fee will be needed to pursued him to sign another. I can also see Kristian Pearce attracting attention from above and the same goes for Ryan Sweeney.

We don't know how much White will have lost due to his injury and he may not be back early doors so we need that position covering as well. We will need probably three new strikers of a good quality and variation in styles.

Over all the squad needs not only an overhaul but needs to be bigger with strength in depth.

The question is do you think David Flitcroft is up to such a large task? And should he be given the budget to do it?

My view is that he isn't and shouldn't be given the budget to blow. That only leaves the option of replacing him in my eyes and I just wish we hadn't made the play offs so we could have landed Clarke.

Do I think he will be sacked, no I don't.
Hello! Hello! We are the North Stand Boys.

Strangely I was more disappointed with the losses to Stevenage and MK Dons.

Both legs of the playoff semi final were tight. Newport's strong arm tactics won the day, aided by poor officials. That is not an excuse ( we should have gone up automatically), but fact. Newport had six players booked tonight, should have had a man sent off early doors in the first leg and were awarded a dubious penalty that in the end lost us the tie.

It's a heart wrenching job following this football club as most of us know. Thank goodness we have The Radfords, long may they be with us.

This season has been a good one, despite the disappointment.

Whoever stays or goes during the summer is up to The Radfords.

But we go again next season " with hope in our hearts ".

This manager has had everything he has asked for and failed. No more chances. Get rid and take Abbot with him

I've already put this elsewhere but from memory.

17 / 18 - 12 games 12 points
18 / 19 - 12 games 15 points.

Obviously doesn't show the form within those games.

Last 17 games had us 16th or 17th. Suspect with the last 12 games it might be lower.
