Hate it looks tacked on. Prefer previous external design.

Ummmm so to remind me plz, how much goes into the pocket of the football club with this hotel, has anyone said?

looking at it, i’m just not convinced at this point, let’s just say we wanted to extend and fill in the corners would this hotel stop that plan?

Not sure why we would need to or this has ever been an issue.
The Radfords have already said they'd be redeveloping the BS when the demand is there. I imagine that would take the capacity of the ground up to maybe 11-12,000. Absolutely ample amount for us.

From the look of the plans and drawings this will make the ground look better, increase our visibility in town, provide some job opportunities and enhance the match day experience. Club will also benefit financially from either lease agreements or however the deal is structured. Sounds like a win win to me I'm all for it

Might make the ground look better if the Quarry Lane Stand stood at the same height, otherwise it looks a bit out of place. Preferred the previous design which wrapped around the stand. However, if it's going to finance the club, lets get it built asap.

Love it just been in to take a look like the idea of rooms with balcony looking over the pitch.

Start of things to come for Mansfield Town n the supporters

I think the reason for this is it gives the option in the future should they wish to make quarry lane stand bigger and higher, can do it based on the proposals, old photo with wraparound round the back you can't knock a hotel down to extend. New photo can xtend if needed

Of course it would have been great if the plans had have included a bigger Quarry Lane stand - but let's not be churlish here - This hotel design will improve the look of the stadium, as well as improve the facilities and help to re-generate the town & the club. So I very much hope that it goes ahead as planned.
The stadium won't be complete until we sort out the Bishop street side. But in the meantime ... this hotel project gives a great entrance to the stadium upon arrival, and it also fills in one of the corners nicely. So it gets a big thumbs up from me! Well done the Radfords!

Positives:
It would certainly be an idea to book a room with a beautiful lady and sit on the bed together surrounded by rose petals with a magnum of champagne whilst looking out the window and watching the game.

Negatives:
The reduction in parking spaces.

Part of me thinks the hotel would be better on the West/North stand corner with access to the hotel from the retail park. The hotel will be more visible from a popular shopping area with increased footfall and be more accessible from the train station. I think the road can handle more traffic than Quarry Lane and the retail park's car park could be used for the guests.
I can't imagine guests would be happy if the 'Gabbitas gate' is closed and they have to walk right around to access the facilities on the retail park or get to the train station.

Ideal solution - buy up the houses on the streets leading to BSS, build hotel into new stand there - loads more room and access from main road and closer to town centre and train station. Much better redevelopment for the whole town.

makes sense to me Grufti. We have an area of the ground that is crying out for redevelopment. The Quarry Lane part isn't it.

Besides who'd like to look out from The Hilton to see that pile of crap over there? It's embarrasing.

If I had enough money and was travelling to watch the stags like John and Carolyn I would build a hotel.
It will be the best directors box in the league.
At the moment they sit in the stand entertain clients in the stand can you imagine being treated in the hotel ??
I'm so much in favour of this idea and hope we all back it up.
Would I buy a room for match days oh yes.
The Coventry away game I went in the casino after the game and was very impressed.
The infrastructure at Cov was brilliant, a shame they can't get away from the same we had in the haslam years.

Its true what he says in his interview.

Our company regularly has clients over with no where to stop in Mansfield, we have off site conferences (in chesterfield), Staff who stay over a couple of nights a week have to stay the the premier inn M1.

Open up business accounts and the money will roll in. Especially with us, I would 100yards from where Lord Byron used to be.

Still need to sort the Bishops Street side out though as this will look more sad without some sort of improvement set against the posh other side.
