It would be great.

We could throw back all the stuff we had to take.

I really hope they go down.

If we relegate them on April 14...

We sent you down! At your own ground!
We sent you down at your own ground!
Enjoy yourselves at Eastleigh and Woking
We sent you down at your own ground!

Plus a few rounds of

One Ashley Carson!
And
We'll never play you again!

He is either giving it the 6 knuckle shuffle with his right hand while watching their game of the season against us .
Or the six knuckle shuffle with his left hand while reminiscing through the history books .
Or it could be a simple case of him using his twelve fingers to knit a woolly jumper ready for Decembers trip to Barrow .

Nice thought but to relegate them on that day they will have to be between 7 and 12 points adrift of the team in 22nd place (assuming all played the same number of games)
It is a long shot though as the other teams around 22nd place are only averaging approx 1 point per game.
After 42 games the team in 22nd will probably have approx 42 points so they will need to be at 35 points or below (ie they need to only pick up another 8 points in their next 11 games which even they should be good enough to do ??)
First match : 04.01.1975 home v Cambridge Utd F.A.Cup 3rd Round 1-0 Clarke

Yeah it looks unlikely tbf. Hopefully it will be a crucial loss for them though and make it difficult for them to stay up.

I used the word 'obsessed' before.

I think it's high time a stronger word was used to describe it.

With the collective inferiority complex felt in Mansfield about all things Chesterfield it's not entirely surprising I suppose.

Enjoy it while it lasts as the weight of history suggests it won't be for very long at all.

The word obsessed is now obsolete.

Others I may use from now on, but won't be limited to, are;

infatuation
neurosis
mania
fixation
And one for Belly: fetish

Posting once every 3 days for a period of 8 years individually beats our so called collective obsession. It means you think about us constantly while any individual Stags fan on here posts and thinks about you far less.

You're on the march with Carson's Army
You're all going to East-er-lee
and you'll never come back up
and will end up going bust
whilst Mansfield go on to live the dream
And I don't feel any sorrow
