Who they are is anyones guess but I suspect James Gale would have his work cut out to make the squad and possibly even the real Macca.

I'd try to sign 1 maybe 2 strikers/attackers and depending on the Quinn situation, see the left sided recruiting as crucial.

If I was guessing, and assuming 1 in 1 out I'd agree that Gale and Macca will go and also probably Boetang, Williams or Johnson (with Hewitts return too many RB's). So that's 4, maybe Brunt if we got him would be classed as a "new edition" and then see what happens with Quinny.

Just to thank everyone involved in making last night happen, it was an excellent evening, well organised and run on the evening, really well compared by Steevo, and Nigels sense of humour (something I'd not seen before) really shone through.

Would think we'll sign a left back, as I can only see one of the 2 Maccas staying. Then a CB, ideally Brunt. Another striker. A left sided CM to replace Quinn. Then possibly a DKD back up or alternative. Id imagine the 6th would be another CM, depending on Boateng/Clarke/Lewis all staying

Really enjoyed watching the fans forum. The kid’s submitted some questions and to hear Nigel answering them has made their day. One now wants to be a journalist and has been interviewing everyone in the house. What a way to connect with the fans and the community at large. Credit to all involved.

We truly are blessed to have Stevo as well. Very entertaining interview and media guy. Always enjoy his post match interviews

Very much enjoyed that, and as mentioned above, great to see Nigel relaxed and joking with Stevo and the fans. Isn't it nice to have a manager that we can like, who is also succeeding on the pitch. I don't think I've had both of those things to this extent since Billy Dearden maybe.

Options could be exercised or new deal could be negotiated or just released on a free
George Williams
George Maris
Callum Johnson
James Gale
George Cooper

contracts expiring - could be released, renegotiated or may even have an option not disclosed in press releases(or I didn't read it properly - I did only skim the official website after a while)
Stephen Quinn
Scott Flinders - In talks - announced during fans forum
Lucas Akins
Stephen McLaughlin
Jordan Bowery - In talks - announced during fans forum
Ollie Clarke
Rhys Oates - In talks - announced during fans forum
Anthony Hartigan

Loan deals expiring
Lewis Brunt

That's a list of players whose deals expire at the end of the season. Added in red to highlight the players offered new deals that I know of (if I missed something let me know).

League one has a limit of 22 outfield players who aren't under 21 just like league 2 has. We used all 22 spots. However 1 was taken up by Oates. Hartigan was not included in the squad list. All those players I listed whose deal is up count towards the 22 except Flinders who is a goalkeeper.

So if we are signing 6 or 7 players surely 6 or 7 off the squad list should be going. Unless are under 21 of course.

Great video, shame about the ghastly soundtrack.

Clough planning for next season on recruitment and Cooper showing how the Academy is developing within the club was a highlight for me.
Contracts being discussed and next season a lot of planning being done.
Clough leaving if promotion is not achieved, having had 3 full seasons to gain promotion with the full support of the Radfords.
Looking at his remit to just win a game the club have moved forward and his legacy will be of joy and giving it a go, but failure to achieve promotion.
Clough also stated he has a contract for next season if promotion is achieved, and we would think the play offs as failure.
This shows as a club how far we have come, 8 games to go and some twist and turns coming, In Clough We Trust

I still can't forget you saying us not signing a striker would cost us top 3.

Or others saying our rivals had strengthened and we had stood still.

Cole Stockton - 4 in 10 (pretty good)
Jack Marriott - 0 in 10
Will Swan - 8 in 10

We did sign a striker

Not enough of them though.

His comment is available to read on the January Transfer Window thread.

Together with some other belters.
