Too soon for a sneaky peek?

Postby Johnny Rotten » Tue Mar 05, 2024 2:46 pm

Got a bit giddy last night and was looking at the Championship and L1 tables to see potential opponents next season. Too soon?

Have you seen the Championship table? The bottom half is insanely tight.

I did this the other week. If everything goes to plan there could be a nice few local games. Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham should be dropping down and I’m hoping Derby County mess up promotion. Add them to Lincoln City and Burton Albion and there’s some cracking local matches that will lead to some gloating at work on a Monday morning.

Chance of Barnsley too, also Bolton, Blackpool and Wigan are pretty big clubs..

If one set of fans should know what it’s like to snatch failure out of the jaws of success it’s us lot  .

We win tonight and it’s genuinely hard to see how we wouldn’t achieve it, but for me it’s only looking once that’s a P, and then preferably a C next to our name that we should think about it.

Agreed, whilst I don’t expect a Flitcroft type of season I’ve been burnt too many times to think it’s over before it’s over

He even predicted a 2-1 Dons win in the SPL.

He just knew he had jinked it.

I also think it'll serve as a wake-up call. We need to focus, and there's nothing like a defeat to do that. We usually respond well after losing so I'm not worried. It's just a shame it came against the team chasing up the top 3.

Well if you look at it like, oh noooo look who could be relegated to league one

And its quite a list its really tight if you look at the bottom of the championship, sheff wed, plymouth, birmingham, stoke, huddersfield, qpr, blackburn, millwall, on top of Rotherham already being relegated.
