Rotherham fan here

Postby BradtheMiller » Mon Feb 26, 2024 4:30 pm

Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Ian, a 62 year old Millers ST holder & when we're away from home I travel around the country vlooging games mainly in Leagues 1 & 2 for the Over the Bar youtube channel, which brought me to the Mill last Saturday.
NC has cobbled together a fine team with a good blend of youth & experience with an attacking based style & when they click which they certainly did last Saturday they are a joy to watch.
A word on the Stags support which was exceptional & I hope my video emphasises this.
IMO you'll definitely get automatic promotion although nobody should count their chickens just yet & that will allow both our teams to renew rivalries in L1 next season which I think will be the Stags first ever visit to our New York Stadium (correct me if I'm wrong)
Anyhow I enclose my vlog for your enjoyment & please tell me your thoughts.
All the very best on your promotion bid guys.
Ian

Great stuff and glad you enjoyed it.

I take my hat off to you for making such an effort if you don't drive as your journey was horrendous for what is a relatively short distance, well done old chap.

Nice to see a proper football fan who watches for the game for the love of it instead of following for the glory.

If we can manage to get up Rotherham will be another local derby for all to look forward to. I wish your club well but I also hope to play you next season which would unfortunately mean you have to drop this year.

Looking forward to playing Rotherham again should we go up. My sister married a Miller and now lives in Rawmarsh with him. He got some stick in my wedding speech! Should be a good day on our first visit to your new stadium.

Good to see the North stand bouncing with Stags fans in it again. Good few in there. Nice to see young Tet with his lad enjoying it

Really enjoyed that, thanks for posting it and glad you got a good game for your efforts.

Always nice to hear the views of a neutral, especially when they're complimentary.

Enjoy the rest of your travels this season.

Thanks for posting, although I had to skip past the train travel bit at the beginning, I did enjoy your vlog. You were very complimentary to the club and fans.

I really enjoyed that.

I liked that unlike a lot of vloggers you didn't appear on screen, which allowed me to visualise John Shuttleworth talking about Stags.

Was that duplicated clip at the end accidentally left in?

Good watch and you seem a decent bloke.

As others have said, it's always good when neutrals can see what a good team that we've become.

It was intended as a compliment. I've paid good money to see John Shuttleworth live.

I usually avoid vlogs for that very reason, I gave this one a try and as you say it was refreshing to see it wasn't all about the vlogger but about the experience. It was very good.

I liked going to Millmoor:

Weird that it's still there.

Oldham Groundhopper watched a kids game on Milmoor recently , it's still used for kids and amateur games I believe.
These are my opinions , if you don't like them I have others...

Agree with the not showing endless mug shots of the vlogger ( especially if they have a bogey in their nose or a humungous spot on it).

Cosmic. Enjoyable and I learned two things, Meadowhall has a train station and we have stopped producing programmes :D One thing that caught my attention though, 'Mansfield come out in yellow and blue' Sadly we do now after wearing amber since time began.
