The police and stewards are responsible for monitoring fan’s behaviour, if it should fall below acceptable standards the fan is likely to be kicked out of the ground, arrested or given a banning order.

The difference here is that the fans are not being paid to be there and act professionally. Jodi Jones is being paid to act professionally - and to represent Notts County, the Football League and the FA.

When asked why he “gyrated” in the presence of children, I don’t believe “if they can’t take it, they shouldn’t dish it out” is going to be a good defence.

Wouldn’t have thought so . I don’t think he was roughly treated - he was man marked. Very different things.
He is probably their best player - what did he expect , the full backs to stand and admire his trickery. The officials didn’t seem to have a massive problem.
I didn’t hear any homophobic abuse. Sour grapes in my view.

On Facebook bellwhiff is stating that he was speaking with a Copper and that she has bodycam footage of the Jones incident.

County's thread on the incident is hilarious.
A) The rough treatment they thought Jones received and lack of protection from the Referee. Nope, we all know 90% were dives/went down far too easily.
B ) Their attitude towards us.
C) The (seemingly) made up allegations.

It must really hurt them losing to little old Mansfield. That and realising their true place in the pecking order.
