County scorethread sponsored by stags leave with pride? Or..

...... Will we be pie'd

In here people.

What do you think the defence will be?

The referee will be Thomas Kirk who last reffed us in our 2-0 win over Newport. https://stagsnet.net/match/reports/view ... tchid=1252

Martin had the following to say that day:
Thomas Kirk 7 Correctly awarded the penalty. Newport felt he gave them very little, with some justification.

He's reffed us a total of 4 times and we have a 100% win rate when he's reffed us.

2-1.
2 teams just low on confidence at the moment but let’s hope the injustice from the Wimbledon game spurs our boys on a little bit more than normal.
I think they will score first and it will be a scrappy game, crowd might be twitchy but hopefully the fans stay positive. I feel it’s on a knife edge this one.

I think a lot will depend if Langstaff is still with them. If he is he will give them a lift. If not the opposite could happen.

We will be well up for this one but so will County.

If they persist with their slow pass it around the back game, we will win by a couple of goals. If they get it forward quicker and cut the midfield out, I think they will get at least a point.

Of course it depends on new players and departures for both teams and I think we have less to worry about on that score. Could Gregory actually be going to County as a replacement for Langstaff? I think not but it’s worth a rumour.

I’m going to go for a win 3-1 and a comfortable end to the game.

It's gonna be tough without our man Flint. I'd take a point, but sadly draws are killing our progress now.

At their place Nigel played with Maris up front to prevent the three centre halves bringing the ball out and feeding the wing backs. This was a success with their goalie having the most touches of any player and having to pump the ball upfield. We need 100% effort and energy from the players throughout the game and the same from the fans. No moaning, booing or disparaging remarks please.

Field Mill will be filled with nervous energy from the fans as it’s been for a while now.

I'm nervous about this one with our recent performances. Hopefully a couple new faces through the door before saturday. I'd say don't concede early but it didn't affect us in the away fixture but it's generally not a great idea to concede a goal

2-0 to us

Our pitch won't be productive to the way they want to play in my opinion.

It hasn't helped us, so it certainly won't help them either.
Can see a scrappy game and a lot of frustration from both sides.

We’ve just got to win. Can’t keep not winning home games. We’ve only won twice at home in the last three months, which is aided by our postponed home matches but still, that’s an incredible stat considering we’re still 3rd. Home form has to turn around now though otherwise we’ll be finishing in the playoffs.

1-1.

Absolutely agree with you there Rob. It’s certainly going to need to be a high energy performance, certainly one for Ollie Clarke to drive us forward and hopefully we will mix it up a bit and put a few balls in the channel to be chased by Swan. If his confidence took a boost from scoring last weekend just imagine what a goal or three in the local derby would do for his confidence.

The home form (24 from 13) isn’t that bad, just the absence of pace and finishing coupled with defensive mistakes in both crewe and sutton have cost us, returning just 1 point from what should’ve been 4. Hopefully if county play an open game it’ll play into our hands.

Given their lack of a genuine main rival this appears to have become a game bigger for county than ourselves (especially among the younger fans) and they’ll actually have sold out the away end (as you’ll be aware of  ) so they’ll be up for it.

Will we have enough to fill the bench tomorrow?

Obviously after this game we have Bowery and Quinn back.

I think this gets decided on who scores first. If we do the crowd will be up and they could easily fold with their defence. If they do, we are finding it hard to break teams down at home.

If Flint plays I think it is 1-1.

No Flint, and I think Notts will win 3-1.

Will we bring Nichols in straight away? If so, instead of….?

I personally don’t think Flint will be fit so here goes.

Pym

Akins/Lewis Brunt Cargill McLaughlin

Reid

Maris Clarke

DKD

Akins/Nichols Swan.

The bench is very thin.

Flinders, Lewis/Nichols Boetang Williams Cooper Abdulla Youth teamer.

Have I missed anybody?
