Good i do wonder if it was hastened by two ambulances trying to get down as we left the Sutton game.
It will be interesting to see how it is done and where the costs lie

Be a few that moan about this, but hey ho. Much safer. Those that need a lift from there should just wait.

I don't get why anyone would want to get picked up there :lol: a five minute walk and it's much clearer. The roads needed closing for ages though, always get dickheads driving there when the footballs finished

I kind understand those struggling with mobility, if it was just the odd car it would never have been a problem.

The fact so many others, taxis etc do it ruins it for those who need it most.

Nah i think its one thing that should unite fans and something all would agree on, especially with the imfamous gate being closed.

Long overdue and should be closed on a consistent basis from now on match days for an hour.

Forgive my stupidity or naivety however reading the article it states;

At a recent Safety Advisory Group (SAG) meeting the club requested that the TTRO be granted because of the recent increase in illegal parking on Quarry Lane around the entrance / exit to One Call Stadium, making the road dangerous for supporters exiting the ground on foot.

Surely that vehicles are parked illegally is something that should be addressed if it is already known/recognised? Why hasn't this been dealt with at the time?

Aside to that, the road closure has been a long time coming. I can't fathom how SAG et al have suddenly had an epiphany!

It all costs money. I have never understood why a traffic warden wasnt there moving people along.

The amount of people asking if its closed to foot traffic is absolutely cracking me up

Only slight issue if you were heading towards Sheepbridge was people who park in the lane to the old quarry/nature reserve were allowed to drive their cars up the closed road and sit at the barriers.
Also, several cars that had come to pick people up had just parked on double yellows near the industrial estates.

Took us longer to get out than before turning right out of ground. Sat there about 15 minutes and did not move an inch. Started to think Quarry Lane at Sheepbridge had been closed in both directions!

It was closed in both directions. The whole road was blocked off in the narrow section just before Highfield Way. This allowed any cars parked in the industrial estates to leave but nothing from the car park or the nature reserve could get out until the road block was removed.
