We are third in the league, have had the best season in years, have great owners, a great manager and great training facilities but for some it's not good enough. You want to criticise the club, the manager, the stadium, the pitch, the groundsman and try to humiliate players you don't rate or like. That is not the role of a supporter ! We need to be constructive and supportive of our club if we are to achieve league 1 status. The owners have been incredible for our club but are criticised/mocked by a section of our fan Base. The same fans who demand that the owners pay for a better pitch, pay to refurbish the stadium, sign the 3 or 4 players that these fans demand we need. These fans are not worried about the club's future which without the owners and the current manager will not be that great. The Radfords along with their staff have given us a wonderful chance of promotion at on small cost to themselves ( financially or personally ),

19 games to go and Mansfield Town can win promotion this season.

That was woeful, and a sign of things to come from the ref. He booked Brunt shortly after for less, Flint was livid.

Just to say we are 9 (nine) points better off than last season after 27 games.

Last season our last 19 games got us 33 points (9W, 6D, 4L)

If we got 33 points this season we would finish with 84 points, more than enough for autos.

On the plus side Reed & Lewis played better tonight. A return to form for those twowould be nice.

I thought Louis Reed was one of our better players but Aaron Lewis was below average.

It was disappointing not using Aaron Lewis' or Baily Cargill"s long throw in the 2nd half when we had the chance. One throw in down in the corner in the 2nd half was taken short and the ball was then frustratingly passed back down the pitch to Christy Pym. Absolute madness when we were struggling to create goalscoring chances.

We also know that when the ball breaks loose on the edge of the area that Aaron Lewis and Loius Reed are unlikely to score.

We also have our top scorer taking corners. I could understand it if DKD regularly delivers dangerous corners but he doesn't.

Well that was incredibly frustrating. The back four selection was bizarre and undoubtedly cost us, Bowery would not have made that sort of mistake and I don't know why Clough didn't just play Bowery at RB and either Cargill or Macca at left back leaving Brunt or Cargill (if Macca started) at CB. Also odd that Clarke did not start, it was his kind of night and I thought he showed what he could provide when he came on. As others have said Akins had another poor night, as did DKD, but the conditions were truly awful and as Clough said afterwards absolutely perfect for Sutton. The referee was utterly incompetent and lord only knows how he has got to that level - allowing Sutton players to stay on after treatment and twice not restarting play with a Stags ball after he had blown up, with us in possession, for Sutton injuries which on both occasions were caused by their own players. The non-yellow card for the early foul on DKD was pretty unforgiveable at any level and the 9 minutes added was not nearly enough considering the blatant time wasting he allowed all game not to mention the injuries and substitutions. He's clearly another fast tracker, lacking experience and it really showed tonight, the least competent referee I've seen for several seasons. He wasn't why we failed to win though, that was down to us and our failure to move the ball quickly enough (partly down to the conditions).

We clearly need fresh blood, hopefully by Saturday - without it I can see this mini-slump continuing at Wimbledon.

Jordan Bowery was the best player on the pitch against Crewe at right back. The Crewe commentators agreed. Why would you move him?

We also have Aaron Lewis and George Williams who can play right back if Jordan has to do a job on the left.

It brought back memories of playing John Joe O'Toole in midfield in the Play Off Final.

Nigel Clough did quickly rectify the situation though by subbing Lewis Brunt and bringing on Stephen McLaughlin who set up the equaliser.

The game was likely to be won by one goal and we would have done it if Lewis Brunt had not given away another daft goal.

Because as part time Pete always says, Clough picks his best players then picks the formation around them, even if there out of position. I would rather him make the tough decision on dropping cargill/brunt or Reed/brunt.

It’s costing us at the minute unfortunately, hopefully he learns from it, he did after placing Flint upfront against Swindon to be fair.

Before the game last night I said it had to be either Brunt or Reed, now it’s likely to be Brunt due to that mistake but it’s got to be said Reed is bang out of form at the minute he’s slowing the game down so much when he used to speed it up.

I think Bowery is much better down the right and Macca and Quinn link up really well so it’s a no brainer.
