Have we been linked with Michael Jacobs before?

Michael Jacobs (31) was signed by Nigel Clough at Derby County in June 2012. He was also at Wigan from 2015-2020 (David Sharpe). He apparently still lives near Northampton where he is from. He is a quality left sided player but has had injury problems. He's only made 40 (36) league apps in 3 seasons at Portsmouth and scored 12 goals.

I find Clough likes "down on their luck"players. Those that have been relegated, injury issues and the like. Nothing wrong with that as such. Any players can get injured at any time. Look at Reed (I think it was Reed he said) barely picked up an injury before and joins us and is out for 3 months.

It's a good way of getting good players in cheaper. Slightly higher risk, but higher reward if it pays off. As for a relegated player. We got relegated with Boulding, Baptise, Buxton, Mullins, Dawson to name a few.

Ethan Galbraith is set to be released by Manchester United at the end of the season according to the Manchester Evening News along with Richie Wellens' son, Charlie Wellens.

Ethan Galbraith (22) has made 27(5) league apps for Salford City this season and scored 4 goals.

Charlie Wellens (20) has made 4(2) appearances for Oldham on loan.

Rhys Bennett (31) is released having only made 4(1) league appearances.

I'm surprised that striker Ian Henderson (38) is continuing. I thought he might have retired.

Forward Devante Rodney and defenders Max Taylor, Toby Mullarkey and Cameron John could attract interest from EFL clubs.

Toby Mullarkey (27) was signed from Altrincham after starting at Crewe and can play right back and right centre half. He is very comfortable bringing the ball out of defence and driving up the pitch. He was supposed to be a target for the Cowleys at Portsmouth last summer.

Centre half Max Taylor (23) played well against the Stags and started off at Manchester United.

Cameron John (23) is a reasonable left sided defender. He started off at Wolves and was good at Donny Rovers in League 1. He then suffered an injury and seems to have lost his way. I think he's better than Rochdale.

Midfielder Ethan Brierley should definitely attract interest as he is only 19 and made 18(7) league apps last season and scored 2 goals.

Danny Lloyd (31) was one of Rochdale's best players this season and he will probably receive offers from EFL clubs. He has a lovely left foot.

There are some good players at Orient who have been offered new contracts.

Centre halfs Omar Beckles and Dan Happe are from London so I can't see them leaving.

Paul Smyth (25) will attract loads of interest after his excellent season. 34(4) league apps and 10 goals. The same applies to keeper Lawrence Vigouroux.

Midfielder Jordan Brown (21) was at Derby County and is from Stoke. He made 15(19) league apps for Orient last season and scored 1 goal.

Former Alfreton and Worksop Town midfielder Craig Clay (31) leaves Orient after 6 years. He's helped them win two promotions.

Left back Connor Wood (26) may sign for Colchester United where he was on loan. 15(1) league apps.

6 foot 7 centre forward Harry Smith (27) will attract interest. He went out on loan to Exeter in League 1 but didn't enjoy it so came back and went out on loan to Barnet scoring 7 goals in 9(2) appearances. He has a reasonable goalscoring record with 38 goals in 104(63) league apps. He has scored against the Stags in the past for Macclesfield Town and Northampton Town. He will attract interest especially as a Plan B striker.
