Macca was unlucky at Northampton - he didn’t break down. The tackle that injured him was at least worth a yellow card

It was a very poor challenge, ref didn't even give a foul!

After what happened to macca I'd rather Gale off the bench instead.

The time for protecting players has long gone! We need results now. If you're fit to play you play

At that 20 minutes Macca lasted in a 1-0 loss was really worth it.

If you're injured you aren't fit to play. If you've recovered fully then you're fit to play.

Who could possibly have known he'd get a new injury that had nothing to do with his previous one? It was just bad luck. To follow your logic means we'd probably not play any of our recovering players until next season ;) I'll say again, if fit our best players must play, we're bang average without them.

Thats fair enough. I thought he'd re done his injury. If not then I apologise

Bump, seems it is true. Bid rejected, largely depends on Forest. Swan happy here.

Yes, not signed but we're clearly trying.

Josh Gordon would be worth looking at. He is out of contract at Barrow. Looked good against us and scored 15 league goals last season.

Me and musings had a debate about him last summer, I rated him for Walsall tbf. Was quality when he came on against us at the mill.

I was speaking to Josh Gordon’s agent last season during a motorway stop on way back from Barrow. He told me he had offered Josh Gordon to Mansfield last summer, but transfer never happened.

this is what Nigel Clough said today:
Q: Are any of the 3 loan players likely to return?
"Yes, we're hopeful. But we have to wait until the respective clubs finish their seasons, and find out which league they're going to be in because that may well affect their decisions, financially may have an impact as well. So until Peterborough are done in the play-offs, and Forest secure their status, there's not an awful lot we can do."
