Couldn't tackle a good breakfast, and his best pass is backwards !

He literally threaded a perfectly weighted through ball between the two centre backs at Wimbledon away for Danny Johnson’s goal a few weeks ago.

Spot on.

As I said above he probably won us that game with the impact he had when he came on, including that pass. But he’s been inconsistent.

One half decent pass in amongst countless under performing performances mean to me he's not worth his place.

I don’t disagree he’s been inconsistent and disappointing at times. The debate above started about whether Boateng should start over Wallace - my view is that he’s more likely to make something happen than Wallace.

Broomo not posting much they may have got one, i look long term Mansfield are a long way of non-league long may it continue.
Grimsby sold out ,record gates at home, i can see all is lost.
Its the hope that gets you and a feeling of we are in this together, Im a happy clapper all to play for at the right end of the table.
Its two seasons with a buzz without major investment just a healthy budget and a ground that does not Match the two non league clubs hoping to enter the E_F_L
While the club continue to make progress on and off the field, surly all progress starts with Bishop St not who plays left back.
Both Wrexham and Notts County in non-league have higher average attendance so lets enjoy the ride with a club that has much to offer and fans that are very vocal.
When we sell two of our best players to move forward it show we are just putting building blocks in place for a sustainable future

Success on the pitch trumps everything you’ve just mentioned there bear I’m afraid, at least in my eyes. That’s what the manager of a club is judged on.

You'd hope so, but I doubt it this time. He will present extenuating circumstances and get one mor swipe it.

I'd say that the natives will want his scalp if we aren't top 3 this time next season.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Correct. The club infrastructure etc isn’t something to necessarily do with Clough. His job is to get a squad and team together to get us promoted. The rest isn’t his remit.

I agree Musing but never being in League 1 since it was formed 19 years ago means there is not a easy solution and patience could be the key.
Success on the pitch is everything 19 years and counting,
Mansfield are improving on and off the pitch but at some point major investment will have to be made to achieve permanent league 1 status.
Getting to league 1 is the start of a journey, staying there is another, challenging for the play offs another.
For a club who will always after sell their best players it takes time ,
i saw Derby with 12000 move to 18000 at the Baseball ground and the owner lose £50 million taking them to pride park and a 32000 stadium.
and the last guy losing over £2 hundred million taking them back to league 1. and Pride Park is a very good stadium.
Thats what you can lose and still be playing league 1 football.
At Mansfield there is hope of being a league 1 club and staying there that is the goal and we all want to see it

So you start with we've not been in league 1 since it was formed 19 years ago then say we need patience....

Good grief..

A lot will want him gone May if the playoffs ( yes that small crumb of comfort) are not achieved. We at the moment are getting the grit from under our fingernails so we can keep clinging on, but every week that passes sees the grip giving way.

Maybe those who want him gone should get a grip.

As for Wallace he was named in last weeks League 2 team of the week.

17 seasons nothing to do with Clough
18 season Wembley playoff final
19 season in promotion mix
Patience seems a appropriate word

No like a Forest mate told me they dont come and see me when im bad.
Ive got Derby 4 mile away-Forest 8 mile away and Mansfield 16 mile away .
Derby have just had a meltdown- Forest are recovering from a meltdown and would be interesting if they got relegated.
So how refreshing to see a club try to break into a higher league and its a good time to watch Mansfield.
If you saw the last 17 years , i can tell you now match day is fun, you and belly come and join us
