Just got back. To make it worst. They have diversions within diversions and lane closures all way up

M1 crap
Team looked lost of creativity
Wallace should have never been booked, wasn't a foul imo. That set the tone for his game
Quinn. No words.
Aikens needs to be up front
Strikers no service
Bad day at the office. Promotion looking slim

It was dire. No movement. No confidence. I think players knew that we had little to work with with Bowery and Akins at wingback. But I'm not having injuries or the ref as an excuse. Northampton had injuries too and had a game on Saturday. They wanted it more.
And dont get me started on Quinn. I'm not sure I want to see him in a Stags shirt again. He keeps leaving us in a mess because he can't keep his head. We may very well be screwed now.

He’s also one of our most creative players. He’ll be back when available.

Just got home.
An evening to forget.
Cold, flat atmosphere, a red card, a loss, terrible traffic and a lacklustre performance.
The one positive was Oates’ return - looking lively and much more likely to score than Johnson did.
Onward to Stockport.

Just about sums it up. I’ve driven back to Bingley in West Yorkshire - seriously I think I’ve seen a million traffic cones which is ok when you win but …

Not for Quinn. He’s a disgrace to the shirt.
Every man thinks meanly of himself for not having been a soldier...

A rash challenge and a rush of blood that was plain daft in our current circumstances, but, SQ has been a good player for us over the last couple of seasons so I think it’s wrong to completely condemn the lad.
And I suspect it’s his last season regardless

It's going to be alright lads, we'll just go on one of our unbeaten runs, like last year.

What a night to remember for all the wrong reasons .... first half we looked the better side! But nothing up front johnson/ Dunn never looked like scoring..Penalty? You make ya own mind up about that ? Referee why do seem to keep getting these bog standard ones / linesman didn't know what his flag was for? and Quinn! well he goes and loses it again which totally turned the game on its head ...Macca on and off in the space of ten minutes..only good point would be to see Rhys
Oats back he looked sharp and a threat when he came on ..but all to little to late ....M1 just a massive Car park and diversions on top of diversions just topped the night off.

Having slept on in myself I now think the best we can hope for is a play off spot.
Until last night i was hoping, probably beyond hope that we could nick 3rd spot but once again when it matters the players didn't turn up.
Neither team looked up for it but they got the lucky break and took the 3 points.
We need to get something from Saturday to keep in touch with the play offs. We have a good run in and with the players coming back we should have enough for a play off spot.
As for the journey home, don't get me started, shocking doesn't come close

All very true posts
Ditchcrazy man Quiinn and bring in a midfielder of the Paul Holland style with composure grit and guile and brain not always brawn and physical assault
Great crowd to turn up on a wet night and cold
Yes Oates did inject something up front but he needs good player to work off and get the service
Stockport will be an interesting one as they look play off bound

Wow, can I borrow your rose tinted glasses, we weren't the better side in the first half, arguably the first 10-12 minutes then Northampton sussed us.

Probably the most remarkable feature of the match was how forgettable it all was.

No it didn't, we hadn't won 3 (league) games previous to that and didn't win for 2 games after he returned.
What started the bad run was lack of CBs, which was "addressed" with Nartey and Forrester, and Perch injury. It wasn't until we signed O'Toole as a CB did we get out of the slump.
