Seen a few say that it will be a good thing to be off. Can see where they are coming from with the injuries but for me it won’t do us any favours.

It gives everyone else in the league a chance to open up more of a gap to us and us not do anything about it. If Northampton beat Hartlepool for example, they would then have the chance to open up a 10 point gap against us on Tuesday. I don’t care who is returning from injury, or whether you have games in hand.. if you start to drop 10 points behind teams at this stage of the season it takes a LOT of catching.

If Stockport win at the weekend they could do the same to us when we play with a 7 point gap - you could go on. Granted the above could happen if we played and lost, but we’d have more chance of preventing it.

I’m my opinion people tend to get excited about games in hand but we saw last year they don’t always pan out how you hope they will. These games against Orient & Northampton are tough already, but will be a lot tougher if they become ‘Must wins’ down the line because we have a bigger gap to close. If it’s off hopefully the whole league is off!
