Also great to see some of our other legends looking so well.

I must confess to gettig a little grit in the eye about 30 seconds in.

Incredibly moving minute.

& me, when Q block gave a burst of 6ft2 eyes are blue, must have got something in my eye

listened to Jimmy Mc in the hospitality before the game, relayed a little tale he was playing one game when the opposition right back chopped him down in the first five mins, Birdy jogged over to the wing & said to him don’t worry Jimmy i’ll sort him out first chance i get, he won’t bother you anymore that’s for sure, & he didn’t lol

Again a tear in the eye during the minutes applause.

When it is ‘ticket only’ to the funeral you know he has been a true legend and a great person.

A very nice tribute, the Bird shirt looked great.

My only minor criticism, I thought it would have been nice to introduce the Stags legends who were in attendance so they could get a reaction from the crowd.

Watching that, I found I'd got a tiny bit of grit in my eye. We old timers need to keep telling the youngsters what a legend he was. I don't think we will see his like again.

I started watching in 77/78 season and I thought this was the norm for Mansfield Town , stood in the north stand as a wee nipper the song of 6foot 2 eyes are blue Kevin bird is after you will always stick in the mind , what a team that was although I never appreciated it at the time … Rip legend you gave this wee kid Mansfield Town is my club …

That was incredibly moving to watch. A lovely tribute. Kevin was way before my time but like all Stags fans I’ve been educated about his legend and ‘that side’. My dad could talk for hours about how good Kevin and that side was (especially the 4th Division Champions). I‘m sure that his legacy will live on and his story will continue to be passed down from generation to generation of Stags supporter and his name will continue to be spoken about with great fondness in the stands of Field Mill.

My condolences again to Sue and all Kevin’s family and friends. Rest in peace Kevin.

I think it would be fitting for Stags fans to recognise Kevin's contribution again tomorrow at Stockport, if only in singing "There's only one Kevin Bird"

Wonderful memories of Kevin in a dream team not rivalled in my stags lifetime, it was a great time from the early sixties to the late seventies to be a Stags fan. However the two promotion teams winning Div 3 and Div 4 were fantastic, Kevin's passion was matched by his teammates and the crowd. RIP Kevin and thank you.
