Well done to JR as well in making Danny Johnson a loan to Walsall and then sticking to his guns regarding the transfer fee. We will need DJ now and hopefully he will get a good chance to show us what he can do in the remaining games.

Flinders

Hewitt
Kilgour
Harbottle
Perch

Maris
Clarke
Quinn
Keillor-Dunn

Akins
Swan

Subs:
Mason
Wallace
O’Toole
Law
Bowery
Johnson

Midfield as a diamond.

That’s with Pym, Macca, Johnson, Boateng and Oates all injured.

I think the only position we can really be critical of not having cover for is left back. To lose five players in two games and included in that both first choice full backs is massively unlucky.

I think Boateng and Pym are back this week but you missed Reed, so that's 4 current inuries which I don't think is excessive for this stage of the season. However, the small squad and lack of left sided cover means the impact is severe.

We may just be able to get by now, but we pick up an injury or two every game we play. We’ll be even more threadbare in a few weeks time most likely. With this also coinciding with a very tough run of fixtures for our next eight games… the playoffs seem like a long shot, despite currently being in them.

His point is entirely prescient and I’m a scream at parties.

We have 18 fit players by me reckoning (I’ve not included Law or Gale as I think they are still injured?)

I think NC will persist with wing backs for now as long as Akins and Bowery are ok. We have five fit centre backs, five fit centre mids and four fit strikers.

It could be the following 2 options.

Flinders

Hewitt Kilgour Harbottle Perch Wallace

Clarke keillor-dunn Maris

Akins Swan

Or

Flinders

Akins Kilgour Harbottle Perch Hewitt

Clarke keillor-dunn Maris

DJ Swan

We have cover for Reed and Oates, Hewitt can play RWB or RB and we did alright after those 3 went off on Saturday so it’s not the end of the world.

Other than LB/LWB, the squad is big enough.

Clough will start Quinn. I think it’ll be the team we played against Bradford in the second half but swap DJ for Quinn and move Dunn up front with Swan.

How many times have a team had 3 key players injured in the first half an hour with the first two being new signings?

The January transfer window has not gone well with 2 out of the four out for 4-6 weeks throw in Macca and Oates and things look glum forgot about Hartigan.
Defenders Perch, OToole, Hewitt, Harbottle, , Kilgour, Wallace,
Midfield, Quinn, Wallace, OToole,, Law, Maris, Clarke, D-K-D, Boateng,
Forwards Swan, Johnson, Akins, Bowery, Gale, Knowles, D-K-D
Injured 4 weeks or more, Oates, Hartigan, Reed, Johnson, Mclaughlin,, 5 first team players.
What cost to have cover for 5 main players if the club is so rich why sell Hawkins And Lapslie, like Broomo said would have liked to have kept them.
We go with what we have and lets hope our luck changes.
Its going to be a bumpy ride,
Personally i dont think the club can afford players sitting in the stand, its been done before and are still in league 2.
I still prefer Quality over Quantity .

Clough on Lewis Page: he's still training with us, we'll try and get him up to speed and take it from there

Having watched the video Law should be ok, so 19 fit players.

Can’t believe I’m saying it but I think I’d stick with wing backs on Saturday too and plug in Akins and Bowery to RWB and LWB again. They both did a solid job on Saturday and overall we played well in that second half.
