Great signing this is. I think he may well be an upgrade on Lapslie - his goal scoring is that good. Really excited to see him play.

'There’s no fixed position for Davis. He can play as a striker, or off a striker, or as a midfielder. He’s a player who can create and score goals.'

Cue meltdown over positioning

It seems to be Davis James, or James Davis, on Twitter. So perhaps it's James Davis Keillor-Dunn.
Whatever it is, he sounds like a good acquisition.

The only question I have with this signing is where’s he going to play?

LWB

Would have thought he'd slot in where Lapslie has played for us, but then if Maris is going there with Reed at the base of midfield, guess he'll go up top?

If his name doesn’t get the KC and the Sunshine Band treatment, it’ll be an opportunity missed.

Excellent signing.

That’s it, wouldn’t like to predict our midfield/front 5 now.

Lapslie played as one of the front two though, so that means one of Akins or Oates won’t play. I can’t see him playing as an out and out central midfielder.

Sounds like the typical Clough versatile signing. Certainly the new lineup is going to be harder to predict.

Oates hasn't been in great form, not sure if it's down to match sharpness but wouldn't be surprised if DKD comes in for him and it's Maris, Quinn and Reed in midfield then Akins and DKD up front. Could be way off though, who knows.
