you can see from this angle that it is a clear foul by Akins. The ref is looking at McLaughlin crossing the ball at the time.

As I said in my report, evened out the terrible decision not to give the penalty and red card after 6 minutes.

Was at the game and seen the videos but still not seen Swan's header actually go over the line! Like you say, we all thought Akins' goal would be disallowed as it's as blatant as a foul as you'll see, but it does even up the dreadful decision on 6 minutes.

we'll never know if it 'evened out' the earlier decision. I think if we get a penalty and a red card on 6 mins we win the game by 3, 4 or more goals, not 1. The same points, but I think we actually missed out on improving the goal difference, which isn't quite 'evened out'.
