Clough has had a tendency in the past to pick a team that doesn’t compliment each other whatsoever and it has cost us. Thinking back to Easter weekend last season, and Wembley, when he picked midfields that were completely immobile. He has gone down a similar route today with half the team not being able to run, let’s hope we get a better result.

I’m not confident with that team. The key is not to concede and hope for a late goal.

Nigel hopefully knows what he’s doing and we have to trust him.

Looks like keep it tight and then bring some quality off the bench to nick it. It the Clough way.

Slow slow slow and no one to score at the other end. Hope I'm wrong but not a line up to excite you pre match!

I think Akins will play up front by himself and we will just flood the midfield.

Maybe the pitch is very heavy and the lighter faster lads will be brought on around 60 to 70 minutes to have a run at a tired defence. I just hope they don’t do the same to us.

On reflection I would rather have Gale in the squad than Oates. I know that’s controversial but if Oates isn’t fully fit, he shouldn’t be risked even for 20 minutes or so. Gale has the pace and strength to give the Harrogate defenders a good run around and I just think he would be a better option in these conditions.

Stags win the ball in midfield. Quinn plays a 1-2 with Maris and drags a shot from the left wing well wide.

Falkingham with a nasty challenge on Maris. He's booked.

Wallace delivers a good cross from the left and Harrogate clear with a divingbheader

   It really isn’t surprising. The worlds slowest defence of all time cut apart at the first time of asking.

The least surprising thing of all time to anyone with their eyes open

Always the same with the ‘should beat easily’ teams. Surely it’s a mentality thing.

Stags down 1-0.

From the headed clearance Harrogate break and we aren't quick enough to get back and they slide a pass through the back line to the left of goal and just jogs through and finished in the far right corner.

Harrogate attack down their right. Acres of space. Cross in and Perch heads behind for a corner

Quinn volleys the corner away at the near post.

Just got torn apart with absolutely ease. Pace the obvious issue.

Surely it’s worth asking the FA for mobility scooters for our defence.

Apparently someone at the game says they were miles offside.

Clough out.

Decent attack down the left. But Maris can't get a shot off and it's eventually cleared.

Out to Bowery on the right. He controls it and tries to take his man on but is easily dispossessed. They clear against him for a throw in.

Bowery poor touch again. O'toole finds him on the right but his touch is poor and he basically controls it for the Harrogate left back.

The frustrating thing is that everyone can see we lack pace except Clough. I just want him to acknowledge the fact that we’re slow, just to show that he’s aware of the problem.

Pym out to Wallace. Inside to amros. He finds bowery. Bowery put in a deep cross nowhere near a mansfield plays and a comfortable catch for the keeper.

Good from hartigan keeping hold of the ball and taking his man on (with a bit of luck tbh) we play it to Akins who is fouled.

From the free kick out to Quinn on the left. Wallace overlaps and crosses first time. O'toole heads wide.
