Once keepers stop getting MOTM for our opponents then we will see more goals.

despite the goals we’ve scored so far this season be interested to see if someone could find our goals to chances ratio - i bet it’s shocking.
There’s an elephant in the room and there doesn’t need to be yet another thread about it….

After the Hartlepool game our expected goals was 19.3, whereas we had scored 18.

Which means nothing, unless of course you believe the xG horseshit

Second most shots per game, tied third most goals scored.

Exactly, again the conversion rate…..
Imagine if we just up that conversation rate with what we score now and
We should have been out of sight against hartlepool friday and derby tonight but drew both.
We’re so close to being a top side.

Hard to quantify as what counts as a goal from a corner due to second phase goals etc. We’ve certainly had the most corners per games in the league.
What I can say is set pieces in general, we’ve had the equal four shots from set pieces and scored the equal second amount of goals. Northampton have scored over twice as many goals from set pieces than anyone else.

Walsall beat high flyers Northampton last night. Watched some of their game , who ran the line and scored AGAIN Danny Jonson .
We have been in need of a striker to work with and get resilience to the squad. He goes out on loan bangs the goals in and we left wanting
On this I really think NC was very wrong

I presume that this is the same Danny Johnson that plays for a team 7 points behind us having played a game more and that same team has scored 6 goals less than us.
Yes 7 in 12 is good but how much imbalance would it put on our style.

This is something I've been crying about for ages.
We score from less than 5% of our corners. Meaning we need over 20 for a goal.
The conversion rate of shots and shot on target to goals is very poor.
Akins may be a popular figure in the team and he does do some donkey work well, but if we're to keep playing him in this system we need more goals from him, and across the team more widely.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

It's frustrating being a Stags Fan
League 2 Goalscorers (All Competitions)
Andy Cook 12 goals
Danny Johnson 9
Danny Rose 4
Jamie Reid 4
Will Swan 3
Lucas Akins 3
Oli Hawkins 3

We can’t have many more threads regarding the lack of strikers

I'm full of respect for Clough, but I would like to hear him explain why he complains about lacking quality in front of goal, when he's had two of the top three goalscorers in the division in his squad. And let them go. Is it that he has a blind spot with strikers?

It's amber and blue, the club colours. I'm sorry you don't like it.

In board settings you can alter the colours.
