Very good news, is it drawn or do we play the winner of another group if 2nd or vice versa?

It will be an away tie though, as no matter what result of the Grimsby vs Man City game in November, we will finish second in the group.

We are needing to draw Everton 21’s or Man Utd 21’s then to be at home.

Everton 21’s beat Hartlepool 6-0 away tonight

Just been reading back

Reference Evans

What will be hilarious is if he’s sent off again, but more importantly at Field Mill on the 22nd April and it helps towards costing them a place in the play offs

Hope Donny can gain momentum with the new Manager……….well for tonight’s game anyway

Steve Evans' Stevenage won again at Donny although they were slightly fortunate as Donny played well and missed some good chances. Luke Molyneux had his best game to date. Evans was sat in the press box.

Donny have been in free fall since Lee Tomlin got injured and then retired.
Overall not a bad set of results last night particularly Swindon drawing at Bradford (with the goal scored from the rebound from a penalty in the 92nd minute) and Northampton drawing at home after being 2-0 up against Sutton.

Tranmere Rovers 0 Stockport County 0

Watched on iFollow. A very tight game which did not come alive until the last 15 minutes. Tranmere sub Paul Lewis shot wide from an Ethan Bristow cross. Stockport sub Ollie Crankshaw then had a shot saved from a narrow angle by Ross Doohan after a good pass by Will Collar. It was the only save of the night with both defences on top.

The Stockport back three of Akil Wright, Fraser Horsgall and Chris Hussey was very interesting. Akil Wright played on the right hand side. He was rumoured to be a Stags transfer target in the summer. He defended well and kept pushing forward from defence and he was my Stockport MOM. Fraser Horsfall also played well. The Tranmere sponsors gave MOM to midfield player Kieron Morris but I would have given it to centre half Dymel Simeu. Kyle Jameson even had a good game after his dodgy start to the season.

I expect both sides to challenging for a top 7 position. Stockport have started to find their feet in League 2 and have tightened up their defence. Tranmere have one of the best defensive records in League 2 but their fans are moaning about the lack of fire power up front.

The Sand Dancers don't look bad TBF.

Their main stand reminds me of the old stand at Saltergate

A stand like that'd fit nice on the Bish.

Bit worrying to see Swindon getting battered 4-0 with the same side that beat us.

Well no but still. There style was all wrong for us. Whereas if we could play Barrow away every week we’d be invincible :D

I though Swindon looked a bit shakey at the back against us. Stockport must have opted not to hit the self destruct button.
