Well the nothing up top trick worked again

Hat trick next week?

Only away bobby.

I mean today highlighted how we need an alternative uptop, keep akins by all means, but the pace of will clearly unsettled them.

Just got back what an amazing lady 10 mins.

Should have been out of sight before going 1 down but turning this around will really boost the teams confidence.

The celebrations at the end with the players reminded of the Scunthorpe game

You're both doing Law a disservice.

You can see from the angle of his foot he cushioned the ball through. Swan made the most out of it but it was a very good pass.

Spot on, it was a great finish and as you say it was great to see two real strikers on the pitch, even if only briefly, it made such a difference. We dominated the game in midfield but for 85 minutes only once forced their keeper into a meaningful save (Clarkes great effort) and for all the world it looked like a disappointing result. If ever a game illustrated what our squad needs this was it, we won because we were able to take advantage of our midfield dominance when we put a striker on and moved our other striker up front. Picking a MOM isn't easy, no-one played brilliantly, so because he changed the game I'd give it Swan.

First of all give over. Secondly watch it back on the highlights link on page 9 and you'll see for yourself.

It's getting really tiring this group of posters trying to paint me as the bad guy whatever I post.

Bloody hell a 5 minutes that could change the season, who knows?

Not necessarily because of the deserved win we eventually got, but maybe a massive a wake up call on what we’re lacking — PACE.

until the subs were made despite dominating the game we had no element of surprise, no quick movements. for me swan should start

We’ve just won 3 away on the bounce, so it is what it is, but something to take away from the game.

In this case he is correct, a cushioned pass that fell at Swan's feet

I'm not convinced it's pace we're lacking, more the final ball today wasn't great and Lucas had a real off day (close to being poor) which had the knock on effect of nulifying Lapslies energy.

It's tough to agree we're lacking up top when we've just won 6 out of 9 scoring 18 goals in the process.

we didn’t have pace last season and without oates we’ve not got any now.

We only had some element of pace/surprise when swan came on which is my reasoning for him starting.

We beat Gillingham 2-0.

12-4 against the 4 relegated teams and 3 of those away from home.

I hope soon folk will recognise this squad is better than last years squad, hence the confidence from me in going one better.

The starting XI is decent, but the lack of depth in defence an uptop could very easily cause us big problems, we’ve got to hope that we steer clear of injuries and suspensions until such time.

Depth being the key.

No one us doubting out Starting eleven is better... but with key injuries it begs the question.

Needless to say what an absolute comeback. Swan coming back after Injury.

Well done NC

88 points from the last 44 games.

Suggests we're doing something right. Consistently right.

*edited to add: Scored 71. Conceded 42. GD of +29.

88 points from 44 games is simply ridiculous. Gutting that we haven’t got a promotion out of it (only us could seemingly do that) but if we can keep that up we’re obviously laughing.

Great win today and I thought it was deserved. Granted we didn’t test their keeper much and we need to do more in the attacking third but we bossed the game everywhere else.

Two brilliant finishes as well and the clearance by Hewitt was top class.
