Like I said it was all very typical but it was a superb turnaround.

We do have a habit of controlling the game, probably should be winning, then implode in defence and let one in, thankfully that did not matter today.

An excellent ball by Law to Swan but he still had so much to do, his touch and finish were Greenacresque.

Great deep cross by Wallace and a brilliant header by Hawkins. Straight after that Hawkins is back at centre half and winning a towering header to clear.

I can’t remember the last time we turned a game on its head so late on.

Handball by Swan and shove by Hawkins for the goals but doesn’t matter if the whistle doesn’t blow.

Superb.

10 points better off than the same stage last season.

Scored 6 more goals.

Conceded 5 less.

The next 4 games last season saw us get 2 points, concede 5 and score 2 goals.

Our next 4 are Hartlepool (h) Barrow (a) Walsall (h) and Crawley (a)

8-9 points might be greedy but would be sensational.

I know some may say the substitutions won the game but why does he take so long to do the glaringly obvious

Looked a blatant handball in the box by Laps as well. Good to have some luck in our favour after last season.

It has been a hallmark of his management that he doesn't appear to didn't be considering anything until 60 minutes and then takes a while to enact it.
That said, percentages show it is annoyingly effective :D

As early as 60 GFB? Didn't think he bothered until at least 70 then as you say slowly enacts whilst we've all been anxious since half time.

I mean the lengthy discussions with Garns start at 60 minutes but the approach does tend to work which is why he has such a good career record and we are in the stands

Some of our fans are utter weapons. A guy in front of me was either off his face or a massive attention seeker - spent most of the first half bellowing repetitive incoherent nonsense at the players, everyone was getting totally fed up of him, one of the stewards came over to tell him to calm down and he gestured to her to go away and hit her across the chest as he did so. Another fan a couple of seats down with a kid told him he was out of order and the other guy spent the next 5 minutes taking pictures of him. He had countless opportunities to calm down and the stewards gave him loads of chances, but eventually he ran out of goodwill and the police came to throw him out. Nobody around us cared. If that was you, you’re an idiot, don’t come again.

Law was brilliant pre season and that today was picking up where he left off with the great through ball.
He deffo offers more than some of our midfield, very underrated player

I’m a fan of Law but not sure his pass today was anything special, Swan made it into a good pass. It was fired into him chest height. I’ve only seen it at the time so may be misremembering. Nevertheless good to see him back fit, he will have a role to play.

The most skilful piece of play in the game was probably the clearance from Hewitt. From what I saw it was over his shoulder and he had to turn and volley it. But maybe I have not remembered it properly.

One of those rare occasions where we seemed to get the rub of the green. Swans looked a little like hand ball and I know they were time wasting but even I was surprised by 8 minutes injury time going on, and even though we scored in injury time the red blew for full time just after 8 minutes.

Edit: just watched the highlights and it was nothing like handball. Definitely Hewitt's error for their goal but saved a certain goal with the overhead kick - I'm not sure it was going in but if he'd missed it then it was an easy finish for their player. Interesting that Wallace had a hand in both goals when I'd considered him more of a defensive midfielder.
