We are absolutely dire. Thank heavens we seem safe enough with the points we have otherwise I'd be worried about swapping with Notts County at this rate

8th in the table with 9 games left and you come up with that utter tripe, have a word with yourself.

That's not because of us it's because others aren't taking advantage. If you're happy with the dross served up recently especially in the last three games then I'd respectfully suggest you have that conversation with yourself.

I didn’t comment on how happy I was I am questioning you saying ‘we appear safe’ which is utter ridiculous.

If , & i mean if , we get our injured players back from injury & up to speed , we can still pinch a top 7 place ..... :coys:

I see a semblance of reality has now returned to the title. That's all we have to cling ot to now and that growsever more tenuous by the game.

Its still going to be changing by the week ,look at some of the fixtures coming up ,sutton seem to be the team that most of those above us have to play still we desperately need some players to return though and hopefully a few shocks above us

Yes our form is poor at the moment. I don't think anyone is denying that. We still have a reasonable chance of a playoff place. I don't think the management or the vast majority of players have given up yet. Neither should we.

What I meant was that our form and displays are not those of a team trying to go for League 1 but of a team who look like they are at the other end of the table

There is no doubt a fully fit squad is capable of winning the playoffs. The question is if we can get enough players fit to reach them in the first place and enough fit to play through them.

Based on the current table PPG's, Stags will need 75 points to finish in the TOP 7 (PLAY-OFFS)

Current Table
PLD...W...D...L...PTS...PPG
.37...16..10..11...58...1.57

Required for 75 points
PLD...W...D...L...PTS...PPG
.9......5...2...2....17...1.89
.9......4...5...0....17...1.89

Stags current PPG 1.57 would total 72 points over a season.

On course to finish BELOW the PLAY-OFF places.

Current.........PPG
Orient...........2.00
Northampton..1.82
Stevenage.....1.81
----------------------
Carlisle..........1.74
Stockport.......1.66
Bradford........1.65
Salford..........1.63
----------------------
Stags............1.57

Based on the oppositions PPG to reach 75 points,

Crawley.......Home WIN
Swindon......Away LOSE
Rochdale.....Home WIN
Grimsby......Away DRAW
Newport.....Away WIN
Stevenage..Home DRAW
Orient........Home LOSE
Harrogate...Home WIN
Colchester...Away WIN

After 37 games, Stags are now 5 points behind compared to last season.

Very disappointing 2 goalless home games v Grimsby & Sutton.

On a positive note, based on the oppositions PPG, Stags have the easiest run-in of all the League 2 teams.

And who have injuries to a number of key players.

There's always a chance but most other teams are pushing on, it's going to be a struggle for us I'm sorry to say.
