76 points will surely be enough (Barrow have 61 with 5 to play and a massively worse goal difference and there’s no way all the teams above us will get to 76). So that’s 3 wins and 2 draws out of the 6 games. Or 4 wins.

81 is also looking likely for autos (current ‘third’ is in around 80 for the season) so that’s 5 wins and a draw out of 6….

Think it will take 77 to get in, same as last year incidentally.

Fancy Salford to get 10 points at least from their remaining 5 games to take them to 76. Seems a lot but don’t see them slipping up much.

Bradford will get at least 8 points as well in my opinion. Stevenage only need 6 points from 6 games to get to 76 which is obviously more than achievable.

Fingers crossed Carlisle struggle with their remaining games which are very tough on paper.

4 wins from 6 minimum required for me.

I'm estimating Stags will need 75 points to finish in the TOP 7 (PLAY-OFFS)

Current Table
PLD...W...D...L...PTS...PPG
.41...18..12..11...66...1.61

Required for 75 points
PLD...W...D...L...PTS...PPG
.5......3...0...2.....9...1.80
.5......2...3...0.....9...1.80

Stags current PPG 1.61 would total 74 points over a season.

Current.........PPG
Orient...........2.05
Stevenage.....1.78
Northampton..1.76
----------------------
Bradford........1.73
Stockport.......1.69
Carlisle..........1.69
Stags............1.61
----------------------
Salford..........1.57

My prediction for the 2nd & 3rd automatic places is,
Stevenage (looking at their fixtures I think they'll just gain enough points)
Bradford (Northampton v Bradford maybe a pivotal game on 29th April)

Play-offs,
Northampton (4th) v Stags (7th)
Stockport (5th) v Carlisle (6th)

It’s a straight race between us and Salford at the moment for the final spot, although others could obviously fall back. I agree 75 will be enough, but it’s possible it might then come down to goal difference and possibly goals scored.

So three wins or two wins and 3 draws.

I can see us going to Colchester on the last day needing a result. Always straightforward for Mansfield.

Would be highly surprised if Salford only picked up 3 more points from their remaining 4 fixtures. Hope they are right though!

Orient will be champions on Saturday if they beat Crewe and Stevenage don't win at Stags.

Then, hopefully Orient will have been over celebrating for a few days before arriving at Field Mill next Tuesday.

After 42 games, Stags have got the same number of points (69) as last season.

Not sure if the veracity of the source, but if we get to the play-offs the apparent dates are the 13th and 14th May (evening KO’s) and the 18th and 19th May (evening KO’s). This is according to a photo of an EFL document doing the rounds on twitter.

the dates in these two sources are different, so I would hold off putting them in diaries just for the moment. I've asked Mark if the club media department has received them and he says no.

It says we had a pitch invasion at Northampton  I think a couple of kids hopped over the the barrier but that was all, 99% stayed in the stand.

Didn't a Northampton fan try and fight our staff/coaches or Bowery?

I just cant see us making them with the current injuries we have, I think Salford will pick up more points. Very proud of the lads that we have had to rely on, players who probably wouldn't of expected to play that much have really stepped up and helped us out, I just think, unless we get players back it will be a step too far. Hope I am wrong though.
