I'm predicting Stags will need 81 points to finish in the TOP 3

Current Table
PLD...W...D...L...PTS...PPG
.34...16...7..11....55...1.62

Required for 81 points
PLD...W...D...L...PTS...PPG
.12....8...2...2.....26...2.17
.12....7...5...0.....26...2.17

Stags current PPG 1.62 would total 74 points over a season.

On course to finish in the PLAY-OFFS.

Stockport away, then (excluding Orient , home)

Last 10 games appear an easier run-in.
7 games versus teams in the bottom 8.
6 games at HOME.

Current PPG
Orient...........2.06
Stevenage.....1.89
Carlisle..........1.83
----------------------
Northampton..1.75
Bradford........1.69
Stockport.......1.64
Stags............1.62
----------------------
Salford..........1.56

We are still only one point behind the same stage last season (55pts as against 56 pts)

If we don't make the playoffs do we keep Clough?

Give.him benefit of the doubt because of signings and injuries, or just try the manager merry-go-round again?

Depends on the level of failure you define as acceptable. I think Sharpe will keep him no matter what but I’d personally let him go if we didn’t make the playoffs as for me that would be the bare minimum at the start of the season.

The January signings said to me he will be here next season. If we dont go uo, which looks likely, I personally am not bothered either way, 2.5 years is enough to pass judgement and you could make a case either way. It's just all very frustrating and very disappointing, I just can't help feeling we are wasting a moment in time. The mistakes he's made are really very, very surprising.

The January window to me confirmed he understand the shortfalls, the age of the squad etc. We are clearly building for next season.

We'd be nuts to keep let him go, unless we go on the most terrible run between now and season end.

Looking at the remaining games i honestly think we could be closer to or even in the top three than many think ,it depends how our injury situation pans out

I'm afraid itis all about injuries and now suspensions etc, looks unlikely we can finish top 3. We really do need to finish in top 5 at least.

Experience counts for a lot at this point in the season and I expect to see some strange results over the coming weeks.

Hopefully we can use our experience from last year and if our injures clear up We should easily make the play offs with an outside chance of 3rd place

However, we need to get a result on Saturday to start again

I'm predicting Stags will need 81 points to finish in the TOP 3

Current Table
PLD...W...D...L...PTS...PPG
.35...16...8..11...56...1.60

Required for 81 points
PLD...W...D...L...PTS...PPG
.11....8...1...2.....25...2.27
.11....7...4...0.....25...2.27

Stags current PPG 1.60 would total 74 points over a season.

On course to finish in the PLAY-OFFS.

Current PPG
Orient...........2.03
Stevenage.....1.86
Carlisle..........1.81
----------------------
Northampton..1.78
Bradford........1.67
Stockport.......1.62
Stags............1.60
----------------------
Salford..........1.59

Whilst 81 points may or may not be enough for the top 3, based on the oppositions PPG to reach 81 points,

Grimsby......Home Draw
Sutton........Home WIN
Crawley.......Home WIN
Swindon......Away Lose
Rochdale.....Home WIN
Grimsby......Away WIN
Newport.....Away WIN
Stevenage..Home WIN
Orient........Home Lose
Harrogate...Home WIN
Colchester...Away WIN

Home wins against Sutton and Harrogate!

I have them down as two certain defeats

Our current record against them is P9 W0 D1 L8

3 points behind last season and we finished P11 W5 D3 L3 last season so room for improvement but very tough with current injuries.
