Papa's game for the fringe lads. They need to grasp the chance to impress.
It's gonna be tough but think a draw and penalty shoot out is on t'cards.

Should I go :-?

Should I go

Let's drive on and get in the swing of winning and iron out our problems , lets tee one up for the fringe players to score a thunder vault into the net and make a hole in one

Not a time to drop Akins now he has hit top form, need to keep him motivated:

2-0 to the Super Stags and bag the 10 grand and quick getaway on the coach ;)

Grimsby haven’t won at home in the league all season but won 4 out of 5 away. You know what’s going to happen

My team for tonight would be:

Flinders
Perch, O'Toole, Harbottle
Gordon, Bowery
Quinn, Law, Wallace
Swan (if fit) Gale

The priority for me is resting Macca, Maris and Lapslie and giving a much needed run out to the likes of Quinn, Wallace and Gale.

I don’t think you are far off with this team,Rob, maybe Hewitt for Harbottle, but unless Law has made a remarkable recovery, I don’t think he will play tonight. I am hoping Boetang has made sufficient progress to,perhaps play 45minutes.

Law is not ready yet according to the latest info. I asked Clough about Boateng on Saturday, he said he is still not ready to return from his hamstring injury, and won’t be ready for Tuesday in the Papa John’s Trophy at Grimsby, but will hopefully train by the end of the week (from my report).

I think James Gale will get a start. Alongside Bowery

I think Clough said Gordon will play because he'd not had many minute recently (or words to that effect)

Quinn would get a start. Wallace too.

At the back we could see starts for o'toole and Perch.

Then fill in the rest and give the ones who started Saturday and likely to start this Saturday 45-60 minutes, where possible.

He might play Ollie Clarke instead of Law then. Be good if Swan is fit to at least play part of the game. I suppose an unintended benefit of having such a small squad is that we'll have to field a pretty strong side! Win and I think we're just about through and more cash towards rebuilding the Bish

He said on Saturday all 7 subs plus Gordon would start and the other 3 would be shared with players who played Saturday getting ideally 45 minutes each.

I also hope Swan is fit.

Well looks like I'm going to miss half or most the game tonight. Good job it's only the trophy.

I'll have a listen still but can't watch.

Can’t believe it, possibly our most important player, who plays the most amount of games. I’d rather us play a youth team player than him.

We’re gonna run Macca into the ground if we’re not careful. Lose him and we’re a much, much weaker side.

He said some first teamers would play 45 minutes. The three centre backs on the bench have all had recent injury/illness issues whereas Macca hasn’t. I’d hope he’s replaced at half time.
