Indeed very sad news and what a day to go, Steve.

Our thoughts are with Debbie and family.

I was gutted to read this news earlier. Knew he'd been unwell, but hoped he'd pull through.

Many happy memories from the days playing under him for FTYBR.

Thoughts are with Debbie and those closest. R.I.P. Steve, top bloke

Terrible news.

One of the funniest co-commentators to ever be on the radio. Him and Nigel Pinnick when they were together were simply hilarious - you'd tune in just for that duo when were were largely terrible on the pitch.

The FYYBR fanzine was always bought alongside the matchday programme as part of my growing up as a Stags fan too, they just went hand in hand. The articles, jokes, cartoons - everything about it was brilliant.

True Stags royalty, on a day when we lost another royal.

:(

Rest in peace Steve. Condolences to all his family and close friends.

Next home game would it be possible to play the clip of Mal's goal at the Cheats with the accompanying commmentary from Steve on the scoreboard?

I would love the tribute to Steve to be some of his commentary, clips from FTYBR, photos of the team etc rather than just a photo and applause. He was someone truly special for our club

A selfless and wonderful guy who I was proud to call my best man at my wedding in 1996.
I’m still numb from the news, we were only messaging each other the other day, I keep looking at the messages now. Poor Debbie, she’s lost her world there.

I found my old FTYBR this morning. Tomorrow may be match day and if it were, FTYBR had a tendency to don the shirt in the morning of the big match to play opposing supporters.

I won't be at a game or playing but Saturday mornings now see me run Parkruns so I'll wear the shirt this Saturday match day morning for Steve.
