Still remember going to Blackpool with my Grandad for the FA Cup 4th round tie in 1970 and Dai getting two goals to send us to an away trip to the, then, mighty Leeds United

Interestingly The Rangers haven’t conceded one penalty this season and generally have been given more spot kicks than their rivals each season.

Until Scotland appoint non Scottish referee to SPL games then game in Scotland will always be biased.

So because a club haven’t conceded a penalty due to being good it’s down to being bias? You sound like one of those Pete. Rangers should’ve had a penalty on Saturday for handball but didn’t get it and it was more blatant that the one the Tims got yesterday. But we all know the reasons why.

Timi Elsnik’s Olimpija Ljubljana have been crowned champions of Slovenia and will play in the qualifiers for the Champions League next season. Elsnik has played a key role in the team by all accounts.

Why? He’s clearly not done it Vale, Bristol Rovers didn’t want to keep him, why would he be right for us?

He did pretty well for us in the first season but was poor the season after.

I'm sure his goals helped keep us up in that first season. Well, we'd have been in an even worse one without him scoring.

I had a quick chat with Jim McNulty after the Rochdale game. He confirmed that he was in David Flitcroft's Bury team that finished 3rd and won promotion from League 2 in 2014-2015. However he was clearly not a Flitcroft fan despite Flitcroft saying McNulty was the catalyst for Bury's promotion. McNulty said he could not get on with Flitcroft and fell out with him so he left Bury to join Keith Hill at Rochdale. He had played for Keith Hill and David Flitcroft at Barnsley.

What? He got Port Vale promoted from league 2 and had them 6 points above the drop. Staying up is a very successful season for port vale

He also got Bristol up from the conference at the first time of asking which is virtually unheard of. I think they also went straight again up from League 2 if memory serves correctly.

I totally agree with this. In fact even if we fall short I can’t see Nigel leaving.

I see Neal Bishop's Holy Blues have made the Northern Premier League Play Offs. They will play either Bamber Bridge or Warrington Town away next Tuesday.

He might be a candidate for the Scunthorpe job next season in National League North.
