I doubt he saw the specialist, and the results were reported back to you, all before 7.25am.

In his defence it's not a bad guess. If the rumours on the extent of the injury are true we'd be getting him under the knife asap

Maybe he ought to have put a question mark at the end of the sentence. Or simply said I think he will need surgery.

Bad if not unexpected news but hopefully that will trigger the purchase of the new striker.

I’d still sooner have a new centre half and use Hawkins up front.

I think we will sign Robinson on a deal until January and see how Oates is by then, and also target another striker that will probably require a fee

Think Hawkins and Swan would make a decent pairing. Only thing with Hawks is the team then try and hit him every opportunity taking out the passing style of play.

Has Robinson signed or are you jumping to conclusions?

Clough just said we might be getting a loan in, which wouldn't be Robinson as he's a free agent.

We also have Swan, Bowery and Hawkins.

If you think Swan, Bowery and Hawkins are enough then you need your head testing Bobby  We needed a striker and CB before this injury, we now need 2 strikers and a CB.

again 100% agree, it’s so going to cost us this illusion we don’t need to increase the squad numbers

Get a striker and a CB in for me, frees up Hawkins to do whatever is needed most.

It’ll be 2 midfielders :p

I agree with you there. Assuming we’ll look at who’s out of favour at higher clubs and make a loan bid, a bit like Walsall did with DJ

I didn't say they were enough, I'm just saying we have other available options. We still need to get another striker in.

In your dreams fellows. It ain't going to happen. A striker on loan until January more than likely. A striker signed, if clubs lower their fee at best.

I would hope the announcement of the severity of the injury may mean we have a deal in place for one of our targets.

Didn’t Broomo say after Wednesday about a striker coming in? I’m sure we can all panic until that point lol

Other clubs are going to try and have our pants down. We needed to sign a replacement striker before letting Danny Johnson go. We made the same mistake last season with Rollin Menayese and then found ourselves short of centre halfs. Get the players in the building before letting any players go. Hopefully it will not bite us on the bum and Will Swan and other players will rise to the challenge.

Hopefully JR/One Call will provide the finance for a new striker based on the increase in season ticket sales.

I think it's the one where we have loads of midfielders and no strikers.

Just talk me through the games where we missed Rollin Menayese last season?

Keeping players around the place that either don't want to be here, are gash, or in Johnson & Menayese's case, both, really isn't good business.

We ended up signing two injured centre halfs on loan on deadline day because we were short of centre halfs. We had to play Nartey and Hewitt at centre half which was a disaster against Harrogate and Walsall.

From Martin's Rochdale home game report:
"Clough told me last week (after the Walsall away game) that he would not have sent Menayese out on loan if he'd known how it would pan out with injuries. Menayese is out on loan for the season, but Clough has previously said that he always inserts a recall clause in loan moves."
