He needs more away points. That’s the one negative for me. It cost us last season and it’s following a similar pattern this season, albeit after only 2 away games. Personally I think we look more solid this season already.

We need to stick with NC. Whether promotion comes this season or another I feel sure it will be achieved.
Interesting that the starting team yesterday contained six players that were already at the club before NC arrived (McLaughlin, Perch, Bowery, Clarke, Lapslie, Maris). Also Gordon added later on.
I have read some suggesting NC only plays his favourites. Not sure this can be true.

To be fair his ‘favourites’ were mostly injured

Found myself at a middle class music festival full of beautiful people from the home counties pretending to be hippies. And none of them knew the Stags score :o

So this weekend, we saw Clough and his management team make a brave decision by playing Akins and Lapslie up front on Saturday.
This is the sort of decision which would have caused a lynch mob on here if we had turned in another Sutton Utd performance.

This weekend doesn't mean he is above criticism but I do admire the honesty from Garner about the poor performance at Sutton and what they did to address it.

Garner was saying that they didn’t run enough at Sutton, that to me is suggesting that players were ill and carrying knocks. There is no way this team wouldn’t try.

You could say Clough’s fault was picking unfit players in the starting eleven.

If he picked unfit players why would Garner say that they had to speak all week to the players about it

Perhaps they didn’t have 11 fully fit players to pick from.

Yes he is ! Just listen to his latest press conference.. Articulate, intelligent, who else could use the word bereft correctly in conversation? He manages people and the team admirably. We're blessed imo.
