Very happy with that XI.

Excellent to see Wallace and Perch back on the bench.

Quinn starting. Wouldn’t have picked him today. Hartigan starting over Maris, Clarke and Lapslie is surprising too.

Technically solid players but both Quinn and Hartigan have absolutely no legs and running ability between them whatsoever.

I’d have had Maris, Clarke and Lapslie ahead of Quinn today in these conditions. All of them have bags of energy.

Hope we have enough legs in there today with Quinn and Hartigan who hasn’t played much football at all.

I think that this team shows the impact of five subs. Hartigan and Quinn will depart by 60 minutes

I agree. Personally would have had him on the bench to come on late if needed. As a ginger myself, 2 years younger than him, I feel for the lad playing league football in this heat!

Hartigan hasn't had much of a pre season so can see subs at half time-60 mins to bring Quinn and Hartigan off.

Sorry if I've missed an interview already saying he is out of the squad.
Maybe NC has read the Message to Nigel thread ;)

A bit worried about Hewitt at CB and Gordon at RWB.

I expected a Clarke/Lapslie to be in midfield today for some more energy too. Sure the subs will get used today though.

Have missed something? Why isn’t Hawko playing?

Really hope I’m wrong but I can see it looking sluggish in there if Orient have the lions share of possession.

Subs are going to be crucial

Just asked about Hawkins on facebook and apparently he's injured along with Akins, so Wallace and Perch back, and then lose another two, not good.

Looking at that bench we could use another striker ;)

Happy with that team. I imagine Quinn and Hartigan won’t stay on for much longer than the first half. Both very good on the ball so I assume the game plan is too keep it and have them chasing in the sun.

Schrodingers Quinn, both in and out of the team.

Especially when you consider Akins, Bowery and Hawkins are all forwards and currently unavailable. All our actual defenders are in that 18.

Many people have pointed out that we need another defender & a striker.
Looking at where we after only 2 games, I think this squad is too small to see us through the season. Even more so now that teams can & will use up to 5 subs per game.
Maybe we shouldn’t loan out so many players if the squad is so threadbare.
We seem to be making it so much harder for ourselves.

30s in and Oates tries to round the keeper and is brought down. Stags penalty.

Macca to take it.

Keeper saves and it's a corner.
