It's gonna be tough. T'fred isn't happy being excluded, too many things wrong here.

Nigel you need a PROPER CB asap youth.

I honestly think we should be seriously considering playing Hawkins up top for this,

he looked a massive threat when he was moved up their last night and with Akins and Bowery potentially out, surely it makes sense?

We have O'Toole, Hewitt, Harbottle who can play at CB on Saturday.

He'll chuck him up front when we're two down.

For people born after 1975 Bros, it's going to be 32° Centigrade.

Expect a slow game. Ball retention will be critical.

Orient have started well in the league. This is gonna be tough, but not on a swamp of pitch, it'll be brown and scorched given the summer we've had down here in the beautiful capital.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Going to need energy and legs putting in to the side where we can for this one. I’d have Gordon at RWB, and Clarke or Lapslie in for Quinn.

I hope that their pitch doesn't look like my back garden

Wish I was going but the rail strikes etc have caused issues, hopefully the team turn up after last night’s exertions. Going to say 1 all draw but could be nicked by either side, those that play to the conditions best.

We're going on train, EMR are not on strike and have stated a full service will run. Underground also not on strike so hopefully a good day out. Settle for a point and then beat Wimbledon next tuesday.

I think he might go something like:

Pym
Gordon Hewitt O'Toole Harbottle Macca
Lapslie Maris Boeteng
Hawkins Oates

Clarke to come in for Boeteng if not fit.

if he doesn't trust Gordon then Hewitt to RWB and Hawkins CB and Swan up top.

Watch out for warped rails. It's the wrong kind of sunny.

Wow, you really don't like Hewitt all of a sudden  Thankfully you aren't our manager, Hewitt will be an important player for us this season.

I just don't think he is up to the required standard. He let us down at Wembley due to lack of pace. I know others did but his defending was poor and again last night. Had a bit of a "purple patch" last season but he struggles against pace. We need better.

Hewitt was fine imo until Mendez Laing came on, but we won't face that quality of winger at this level

I'm hoping we can put on a possession class like we did at Salford, minus the conceding of the two stupid goals.

We're more than capable of doing so and scoring one or two ourselves. I just don't have much confidence we won't concede given the lack of legs at the back.

I'm off down on the train too. Luckily the strikes don't affect EMR.

Be a tough game this. Leyton Orient always seem to start seasons like a train and they might do that again this year now they’ve won their first two.

I've just had a notification saying weather warning - it's now saying could be 35°c in Walthamstow this weekend!
