That's still a brilliant number for a competition that at this stage usually doesn't attract a huge amount of fans.

Good times.

With an away support of 1700, tonight's official attendance is 24,879. Thank you for your support this evening.

As the West Stand is all but sold out, that's about 5300, then assuming at least 1000 in the QLE it's 6300 without away fans. Say 1000 from Derby, it has to be 7300 minimum. You may be correct though, if the ticketing system has gone wrong and people are staying away because they can only get tickets for the QLE.

Good team that - I think that’s our strongest defence. Surprised Quinn playing over Clarke.

Akins and Swan up front together… unsure how much threat they’ll pose Derby

Quinn starting again despite his old age and Clarke not starting today further suggests Clarke may well be on his way out.

How many subs can you have in this competition?

We have named 8 and they have named 9? Thought it was 7 like in the league.

Very surprised at Quinn playing ahead of Clarke. I wonder if there’s interest or even if Clough is trying to send him a message?

To be fair though I was going to mention that it may not be the best idea to play Quinn on Saturday at Orient. He did nothing wrong against Tranmere to warrant being taken out but the conditions are going to be scorching and I could see him tiring very quickly. Wonder if there’s a view towards that?

Genuinely interested, why are you surprised?

Quinn was very good on Saturday; without doubt he's one of our best 3 midfielders and Nigel said barring injuries he'd pick his best side.

On another note, I hope Kellan has an absolute stormer. I so much want him to be the answer to the right wing back "dilemma".

Strong side and I fancy us to nick it, although it may take Boateng and Oates coming on with 20 to go to wrap it up.

Oh I see.

Macca seems to have taken a knock already. He's back up though so may be OK.

Is Akins sat on the bench? Or has he potentially pulled up in the warm up?

Tesco, Sainsbury's, etc can rattle products through their scanners at a rate of knots even when packaging is creased/dented.
My pristine new ticket took forever to scan on Saturday, attendant wiping it on his lapel a few times. It's not my ticket that needs cleaning it's the scanners that are the problem.
Waving my card in front of the machine so many times might distort the attendance figures to be artificially high, the scanner probably counted my entry as 15 spectators.

Hewitt picks up a yellow card. Sounded like he took one for the team.

Martin: "Just seen a flag in the North Stand that says 'Chesterfield Rams'!"

Dean: "Apologies for using the 'C' word there!"

Swan gets into the box and his shot is saved.

Derby go up the other end and a cross is just missed.

Sounds like end to end stuff.
