I think one midfielder will be going, Clarke, Maris or Lapslie.

I just don't get it at all, we clearly need a striker and a centre half.

Seems like we are working on a striker but centre back looks a no no.

No, what's more bonkers is we had the best wingback in the league and we start to play wingbacks once we've got rid of him.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

kane wilson was way better than O'Keefe, you've got to be on a wind up.

I was more laughing at O'Keefe being the best wing back in the league...

Isn't there already a thread for rumours on new signings?

I have heard Lapslie to Colchester.

Stag on the Beach wrote:Clough has changed his tune since McGeouch was around. We didn't need any more midfielders then. However, in his last two or three interviews, he's hinted at one of them going out.

Could be wrong but I don't think we had Law and Wallace out injured at that point.

We could have spoke to McGeouch and only offered 6 months. That's a big upheaval for the lad for a 6 month deal.

By all accounts it seems he would improve us so maybe he sat down with Sharp and said look he's available now, likely have some resale value in the future. Speculate to accumulate kind of thing. We spend slightly higher and we will try and move a midfielder on, if not contracts run out at the end of the season.

Could it be just internet chatter?

Can't see the guy moving so far north unless he really is desperate, he could have played L2 with Wimbledon but went on record as saying he didn't want L2 and would rather leave.

Just a thought.

My mistake meant L2,

Why come to us to play L2 when he could have done so with Wimbledon in the souff, as they say?

Well if rumours are to be believed the four clubs in for him are us, Blackpool, Preston and Rotherham.

Blackpool and Preston are a lot further north and would you move to Rotherham?.

He will probably get more game time here and expects us to progress up the leagues as he develops. If this is true it’s a proper coup for us and congratulations are in order.

I think they were, rather than are, in for him. The links with those clubs was a while ago now.

Great news, I know he's not a first team starter but we saw what he could do when he first got here and the back end of last season (minus the red card)

I think Laps should be a regular starter. Purely my opinion of course.
