Tranmere attack down their right Harbottle is competing and concedes a corner. Corner comes in and Harbottle gets hi head to it and conceded a throw in on the opposite side.

Macca with some great skill takes on his marker and runs down the left and puts in a great cross that just evades oates and Bowery can't get to it.

Bowery does very well to get the ball back with a good tackle. And then for some reason sold a short back pass to Pym and plays in hemming. Pym does well to save. That's the danger of playing non-defenders in defensive positions.

Stags attack and Macca keeps the ball in play and his cross is blocked for a corner. Maris takes it but it's over everyone and out for a goal kick.

Stags attack again and Macca floats a cross in but its over everyone and Bowery goes to get it but he's offside.

Boeteng finds bowery on the right but a poor low cross to a Tranmere player sees us win a corner.

Corner comes in and it's out on the left and crossed in and it's cleared off the line! Stags corner and Tranmere get a free kick. Didn't see who fouled who though.

Tranmere number 19 had a ripped shirt. Perhaps whoever marked him had a good hold on it.

Quinn wins the ball in the Tranmere half and comes forwards. Finds Oates. Oates appeared to hit the ball way too hard at boeteng and the ball ends up with Maris but he fires high and wide from 20 yard or so.

Ball into our box and hemming falls over looking for pen and o'toole clears.

In control for 45 mins without creating a chance. There's a lot of eggs in the Oates basket this season. Akins is doing OK but if we are playing with a unit up top why isn't it Hawkins.

Not convinced that Bowery wants to be right wing or that we want Bowery at right wing. He's a lot better up front.

Otherwise it's been fairly comfortable with little threat from either team.

Both teams had one very good chance. We’ve had most of the territory without creating very much. Bowery not staying wide enough in the build up.

We're playing well and that's what's promising. I think last week will be seen as a freak result in the future. It does seem obvious though that we're not going to break any scoring records this season and that may cost us in close games against defensive minded teams. Hopefully it won't hurt us too much and we'll get the goals and points. We really should be leading here and if we don't win today our lack of a quality striker will be why. COYS.

Their keeper needs roughing up and not to be given a second, as he doesn't look particularly confident.
