I don’t think it’s true that he’s been on trial with Crawley.

Sad watching that and thinking what could have been.

20 goal striker last season and we go up automatic.

A Trialist did score a hatrick for Crawley recently in a friendly.

Mohamed Kahdum from what I've heard, not Johnson.

Can’t even formulate an opinion based on what little I saw of him. He won’t be missed. I do find it odd that it didn’t work out for him but Oates was on fire at times and Johnson doesn’t look like the kind of fit for Oates.

I thought Hawkins and Johnson looked good together at the start of the season but that partnership never materialised into anything

To be honest, he looked fairly pacy in the video scoring some good goals, looked laboured for stags, nowhere near… perhaps his injury at orient really affected him

Why the concern about DJ ? He has no place in this squad.

Correct , but he is taking up a wage that Clough believes he can use on another player

Alan Nixon says Walsall are the team interested, as some have said above.

Linking him up with Conor Wilkinson again of he goes there.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

If so, looks as though Gale will be involved a lot more than we thought until we can get a new striker in.

I’d have thought a striker is lined up ready to go if Johnson leaves. We already have four strikers to pick from, five if you include Hawkins.

I think Clough will be happy enough with Oates, Bowery, Aikins, Swan and Gale until January.

You can always add to the squad later and, as we saw last season, fortunes can change several times over the year. It's a long season with plenty of time to assess, make changes in January and still be successful.

He said after the game the other night that we have had bids rejected for strikers so have moved on to other targets and are looking at a loan deal so don’t think we will be sticking with what we have now. Also said the plan is still for Gale to go out on loan.

Clough thinks we need to improve in that department and I agree to be honest.

I would have thought 1 would need to leave. Or Hawkins is now CB
