Why would you say something so controversial... yet so brave.meme

Hope they both succeed but Gale is one of our own and should be given the chance to prove himself rather than get shipped off on loan imo

Clough says still likely to be loaned.

Macca, Hewitt, Perch, Wallace all injured, Gordon just back. Not ideal but the upside is it’s just another reminder of how quickly a squad can start to look a little bit thin, just like it did last season.

I think it will just be another nudge for Clough and Co to try and get another couple of bodies in to the squad. I know they talk about how Clarke and Bowery can go in to CB but it’s a different story when it’s a league fixture.

Hopefully Macca is all good for a week on Saturday

Why do we seem to have so many injuries all of the time?

I'm in my mid 30s. Everything aches. So maybe it's to do with old age. ;)

The two crosses Gale put in were quality.
He’s got to be given a chance.

Except for knocks sports injuries can be a sign of several things for example, overtraining ( muscle fatigue) , overstretching a muscle group , playing and not fully committing your body , Fear of recurrent injury i.e Psychological , Stress , Age etc

Take your pick

We do seem to have a fair number of pre season injuries though

Sounds like a good work out for the squad.

How did Hawkins play?

It does seem we’ve missed out on our first choice striker and we are on plan B, C and D

I think we’ve got three ‘proper’ injuries and two knocks which we are taking precautions with.

One of the injuries is Wallace’s knee which seems to have been an issue for him for the last few seasons rather than anything he has done here.

Hawkins did well... hes not half as bad as people make out. Quite good at getting a foot in and making a good tackle.. I think being in a back 3 will help him.

Sounds like we've made two offers which have been turned down, so now looking at a loan deal (I assume for the same player).

I desperately hope it isn't the bad knee as he was a really strong addition to the squad

Are we getting the full match replay or were the streaming issues so bad there's no point?

The full match replay will be available on iFollow Stags but I don't know when Alex will have loaded it.

The streaming issues were on Sheffield United TV. We didn't attempt to stream it.
