Got 15 clean sheets in 40 games when they got promoted from League 1 a couple years ago. Would be a great signing.

Consistently up there with the best in the league when he was at Exeter. Definitely an improvement on Bishop.

Would be an excellent acquisition...
However its funny how all of sudden some folk don't rate Bishop...

1 million percent Bishop will be playing a higher league than Pym next year..
These are my opinions , if you don't like them I have others...

Would be a great signing with Bish going to League 1, shame Fry is airing dirty laundry to try and get the deal done though.

We do need a keeper. Would be an excellent addition.

Always very expensive dealing with Barry Fry and Peterborough. They always want a hefty transfer fee. They are keen to shift Christy Pym though after his dressing room bust up with Darren Ferguson in September last season. Darragh MacAnthony said it was likely that he would never play for Peterborough again. He then went out on loan to Stevenage.

Got to say I'm not a fan, every time he's played against us he looks Dodgy on crosses. Think he's only 5"10 so that might have something to do with it but I think we could get better. Just my opinion

each to their own.

If he’s played 40 games in the league above and got promotion to the championship a few years ago that’s good enough for me!

Not sure what to think. He’s played in decent sides before but he’s also the shortest keeper in the EFL.

but again whether we sign him or if we don’t if he’s played 40 games in league 1 he’s clearly obviously got something about him.

He’d need protecting by big CBs for sure - if we play Hawkins and JJ we’ll be okay I think. Definitely won’t be able to sign a better shot stopper at this level.

Wouldn’t mind this. Doesn’t exactly fit in with what Clough said yesterday though re the keeper.

I think we can improve or at least source an equivalent to Bishop.

I would also add that I’m not sure I trust a word of what Fry or ‘DMAC’ say.

I doubt this is made up, they are probably just trying to get us to pay more I imagine.

Or get others to pay more.

As for his height. How tall was Alan Marriott? He seemed to have the height and looks of a 12 year old.

I thought Clough indicated yesterday that the keeper(s) they are looking at are similar to Bishop in age and status ?
i.e.....Young and looking to gain more match experience as a potential first teamer in pushing Flinders for the GK spot.
Pym is 27.

Gunna look great when he signs elsewhere and he gets asked how come he didn’t end up at his preferred destination if that’s the case.

Daz and Baz are definitely not trustworthy but it seems a odd one to make up this.

Fry's nothing but a market trader - when he speaks you know there's money in the air. We're either not interested at all/made a tentative enquiry and he's used us to try and get another club to up their price, or we are interested and he's letting other clubs know that if they want a keeper then they could snipe one away with a few more quid. Whatever is happening, it's all designed to get more money for Pym.

Absolutely.

Reveal mansfield are preferred destination but mansfield haven't offered the right fee. Gives another club the opportunity to beat our offer to Peterborough. If a club does then they are allowed to speak to Pym.

Then Pym either signs for the new bidder or digs his heels in and says mansfield or I stay. I can't see the latter being the case.
