League 2 season

Postby Grimsby fan1984 » Mon Jun 20, 2022 6:53 pm

Hi Guys,
Grimsby fan in peace saw we drew you in the carling cup.

Made me wonder how Hewitt had done for you last season?
He was about the only player to come out of the season with any credit when we went down.
Will look forward to a trip to field mill again, always thought Nigel Clough was a shrewd operater in an old school way and always builds decent sides. Noticed how he converted that big striker who used to play for Pompey to a centre back and take it he does a good job.
Hoping we have a good season as we have a decent team and budget, but intrigued as to how the players who stood out in the national league fair in league 2!

Hewitt is a solid enough right back. I rate him. He's a very dependable option at right back.

Where did he play, mainly, for you?

Papa Johns Trophy, not Carabao Cup

Hewitt had a decent season. A few poor games, but overall pretty consistent. Only Bishop & McLaughlin played more league and cup games than him.

Beyond dreadful to begin with, really kicked on as we started playing better. He’s dependable, nothing more, nothing less.

He played CM at first and wasn't v good but moved to right back or right of a back 3 and was our best player (not that it's saying much) quite dependable. We have a great right back now Efete, keep an eye out for him next season very athletic and skilful think he will end up Championship at some point

Right back first position we need to inprove. Hewitt folds like a deck chair when the opposition have a decent wide player. As for Hawkins at the back, MOTM when the ball is hit long on to his head looks like a centre forward playing at the back when we come up against a decent footballing side. Second signing on the list is a centre half to play along side JJ.

So is the car park lady who just waves me through and signals put your hazards on.
The beefburger van who sells a good beefburger with onions.
The steward were we sit.
The fans who sit next to us
Chasing a programme is fun [ticket office, kiosk outside burger van, sometimes very rare outside the stadium, and of course when all else fails Sandys bar .
Photo on ifollow, plus with the lady who takes snaps before games.
My friends and family i assume wont count because you can say they are bias,
My crumpled programmes you can say were bought on line.
Looking forward to meeting you and fetching my season ticket.
Telling lies when a guest comes on our forum is low,
i willl not be upset at taking your money.
Or do the right thing and apologize.
reply to the post not the poster, Martin keeps repeating this message, not rocket science
