As said before, nottinghamshire police are absolutely hopeless, is there a specific reason we have to take their “advice”?

The club should charge the police force for lost revenue.

Sadly experiences with them are poor, thankfully never had to be involved with them, but when you look at games their heavy handed approach throughout a match day causes more problems than it solves.

Lincoln vs Sheffield United PSF is also behind closed doors.

Why Sheffield United's friendly against Mansfield is being played behind closed doors

Yorkshire Live understands the decision was made after consultation between Mansfield and Nottinghamshire Police.

Sheffield United, who would have brought a large following, were not involved in the decision as responsibility for policing the fixture falls on the home club and relevant authorities.

Only following those consultations between Nottinghamshire Police and Mansfield was the decision taken to play without fans in attendance.

Don’t forget that the club would have to pay for any police on duty at the ground including those travelling with the away fans.

This could be a purely financial decision as entrance fees are normally vastly reduced for friendly games and may not be based on expected serious trouble.

But yet we can play rotherham with fans where the any chance of trouble would be much higher.

Makes sense

I think all STH seats are reserved until next Monday so it may be that which you are looking at rather thank tickets sold.

If that's the case surely I could buy a ticket for my seat now? As it stands I can't so have bought elsewhere.

Edit. You need to go to convert reservations. But as it happens I needed more tickets anyway

Did I read somewhere that the Retford game would be an U23 side?

It’s embarrassing really especially as there was quite a lot of trouble last time Notts played Forest in a friendly.

There were 2 pitch invasions.

I really, really struggle with notts police and how ridiculously hopeless they are.

I’d love someone to actually explain the logic behind allowing county and forest to be played with fans but our game with sheffield utd can’t be, i mean come on!?

It just seems as if we get a completely gutter deal if comparison to forest and county hindered by their utter ineptness.
