Eh up sharpey lad, you're doing a great job, keep it up.
Well done on the ST sales, you must be delighted. We got a good chance of promotion this season?
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Lad just come back from school and the strong rumour flying round there is that Pym has signed...

Swann deal is done by the sounds of it. Might play tomorrow. Keeper not far off being done. Offer in for another striker so might take a while. Another player coming from Forest but has gone away with them pre season so might take a little longer to confirm

Clough citing that we already have 6 midfielders so not much we can do with McGeouch really.

Knocks for Perch, Wallace, and Hewitt

Video now been deleted btw

Don't get that really. If he's better than what we have then surely you make room. Like we did with Longstaff. Obviously not worth upsetting the applecart for.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Anyone seen Swan play before? Is he quick? Physical enough?

Clough sounded relatively confident that Johnson will be sold soon to an interested team and again relatively confident that we’d sign the striker we’ve offered a small fee for.

Any guesses on the striker?

I will reserve judgment until I have seen him play. But not massively excited if his spell at Vale is anything to go by. More interested to no the identity of the other striker.

Usually players who shine in premier league 2 are more than good enough for EFL league two

I’m actually glad it’s the first season I’m not excited by the transfer window. Just quietly build a good squad without the fanfare. We don’t need much improvement imo.

Can see where you’re coming from, but even the very best teams need to improve and evolve. I still think we need more quality injecting into the team to get promoted personally. Might sound pessimistic but I’ll be surprised if our collection of ageing defenders + Harbottle are good enough to be part of a promotion side.

I do think Boateng is one of the very best signings anyone has made in league two this summer. If I could have picked one midfielder to sign who’s somewhat realistic, it would have been him. He’s stood out every time I’ve watched him against us and thought he was terrific in MK’s playoff second leg vs Wycombe. I think he’ll be our best midfielder this season.

We need one or two more signings who improve the starting 11 like Boateng will do.

You over estimate how good a top three side is in this division... literally nothing in it in the top 7

Us and port vale were near identical, both had 18 different scorers too.

My prediction is a season similar to last year overall minus the slump to the bottom two with all the injuries and suspensions, We'll be up there all season.

I’m not saying don’t evolve and improve, just don’t rush in and ruin the good work. Agree about Boateng. Top signing.
