Yep, and that Akins will score 15 goals a season easily in that league.

A lot were saying the same about Bowery and he came good after looking poor. A pre season under Clough will help

Akins has never scored 15 in a season anywhere in any division.

I don't think he was just a striker for Burton so I think you're being harsh. Oates didn't manage 15 this season and he's been one of our best players. Akins will still contribute positively imo

Akins shown against Northamton away what he can add to the squad, as a right wing back, He spent 8 years at Burton and made a club record in appearances and goals scored in the football league.
Won two promotions and played in the Championship for Little old Burton for two seasons.
only got away from the league 1 club after three transfer request to join Mansfield.
Most of his goals scored came from right wing back, 14 goals in a Clough team is good, .and spent in higher division.
His only ambition is to help the team achieve their goal, whether from starting or from the bench,
And he has a two and a half year contract to do just that,
And Mansfield Town are delighted to sign him, that will do for me[

Would not play Hewitt at CB personally.

Hewitt was excellent at CB in the wins against Exeter and Bradford......far better CB than Hawkins

Weren't there some absolute horror shows with him at CB? Those are two games he did play well, but Hawkins has played very well at centre back too most of the season so I disagree that Hewitt is far better

Hawkins is a liability in central defence against any team with pace , his distribution is shocking trying to play out.
